In reply to: [Plausible Analytics] Requires registration and paymentI did not have this experience. 30 days is a nice long trial, and all it asked me for was my name and email… in order to use their service. I don’t understand why something so standard and patent as a service sign-up gets a 1-star review.
Thank you. This question is partly addressed in the FAQ and here in previous tickets, so we won’t repeat that. You might try switching to the WooCommerce forced download method and seeing if this helps matters. Otherwise, to have a schedule you’d either need to build your own CRON job, or upgrade to the paid version of this plugin, which includes schedules for file deletion (like every day, every week, every two weeks, etc.).
When you say reports do include them, is this for the Pro version? Because the free version definitely only includes “Full Refunds” in the report. When you said it does show partial refunds, I started to second guess myself, and thought well maybe it’s not catching the partial refunds when they are coming via webhook from Stripe?

Yes, I’ve given partial-refunds this month.
Your server timed out while trying to process the PDF. This isn’t so much a problem with the plugin as it is your server not having the PHP memory to handle parsing and writing the PDF. You could try a smaller PDF (smaller file size), or just a different PDF, and this probably wouldn’t happen.
You’ll want to try tuning your server, simplifying your watermark (remove encryption), cutting down the PDF file size somehow, or cutting down site traffic (not 100% serious, but if your site is getting hit hard by bots, 100% serious). It’s often easier to beef up your hosting plan with greater CPU, or upgrade to a system using PDF Ink + SetaPDF-Stamper, which uses quite a bit less system memory for PDF processing.
Unfortunately ‘There has been a critical error on this website’ is not enough information to go forward with. This plugin includes debugging in the settings, under the “Error/event logging” tab. Please turn that on and provide the contents of the debug log, or contents of your WordPress debug logs. Thank you.
Is the hosting provider over riding it?
@pwcircuitsThat sounds like something to ask your hosting provider. WordPress is clear about the file permissions it requires, so it behooves you to start by setting them correctly, permanently.
Are you certain that all your WP folders are CHMOD’ed to 755 and your WP files are CHMOD’ed to 644.
Also, have you tested the site with firewalls (either on the server or a WP plugin) disabled?

In reply to: [Gift Wrapper for WooCommerce] Add Gift Wrap Button Does Not WorkIs there a way to add watermark to any PDF file ?
Sure. But not with this plugin. This plugin uses a free, open-source PDF parsing library which suffers limitations. If you want to mark ANY PDF, use “PDF Stamper for WooCommerce.”
Same with external files. This is a free plugin with limited capabilities. Look into “PDF Stamper for WooCommerce” instead. It’s the only plugin for WP which can handle your requirements.

In reply to: [Gift Wrapper for WooCommerce] delete thisHi!
Sorry, we cannot delete topics. In fact, I want to restore your original comment, which said:
Hi, I’m struggling with setting this up on a multilingual e-commerce webshop. I can get it to work on the primary language of the webshop, but the button doesn’t appear on secondary languages. The problem seems that I can’t select a different “Gift Wrap Category” for each language. I could switch the admin backend to f.e. french, then configure the “Gift Wrap Category” and select the french translation of that category but after I save it the configured category I had on the default language then disappeared. How could I get this to work for multiple languages?
And then maybe next, mention in your “Nevermind” comment what you did to fix it, or that it was something else and what it was, and which translation plugin you were using.
Why? Often the content of these forums exists to help other people searching through them solve similar problems, and so deleting/editing them won’t help them — or plugin developers having to answer the same question repeatedly. I’ll mark it as “resolved,” which you can also do in the future when you want to close a ticket. Thanks so much!
This plugin only works on the WooCommerce native product download clicks via the
woocommerce_download_product_filepath
filter hook. Any customized links not triggering that filter will need further work by your developer to integrate some sort of watermarking function. Sorry, we cannot advise on such customization projects for this free plugin. Thank you for understanding.Forum: Reviews
