Hi @redkite – if this problem is still bothering you I might have found a solution: In my case the empty iframes were “injected” by Hoverify browser plugin. The plugin has an option to deactivate iframe injection which solved the problem for me (I had to delete the tags manually however).

Thanks for this thread. It helped me solve my problem. Please allow one additional question: Currently my site is protected with a password. Do I have to remove the hook when I remove the password protection?

That is exactly the question I wanted to ask ??
