In reply to: [Listly: Listicles For Wordpress] Adding Date of Article instead of entry@katzmeow, the sort order “Newest” (recently added item on top) is based on the time you created the item first. We don’t have a published date or an entered date. Here is an article on the sort order on our community site:
https://community.list.ly/t/setting-default-order-for-items-in-your-list/46
If this does not help, can you share your list and explain the problem? We will of course add any features required to help control the order of the items in a list.

In reply to: [Listly: Listicles For Wordpress] Better to use the embed scriptHi Andrea:
We don’t load any Javascript on pages that do not have a Listly list. We do load a single CSS on all pages so that any Listly plugin renders with the correct styling immediately, but this CSS file is cached once in the browser and should not affect loading subsequent pages for a user.
We are looking at ways to avoid this as well. Maybe we can give an option in settings that is a tradeoff between eager loading of a single CSS file vs. delayed loading. Then it would be a tradeoff that you can choose.

Co-founder, ListlyHi,
Assuming you are looking at the layout in an embed:
The layout you pick inside List Edit sets the layout for the list on the list.ly website. The embeds have their own setting for the layout which is part of the embed code. This is so that different embeds of the same list can have different layouts.
To switch the layout for the embeds, update the embed code in the post.
Can you share the page with us so we can see exactly what you are seeing?
Hi Mike:
Listly has a responsive design. If your WordPress template has restricted the post width to something specific, then Listly embed will be restricted to within those boundaries. If you change your template so that the post can take the whole width, Listly will resize to fill the whole width.
Some of the options in the embeds such as show_author are premium. We mention the premium features when you preview the embed code. Having said that, you can also make three of your lists premium for free. See how here:
https://support.list.ly/kb/making-editing-lists/get-three-free-premium-lists-for-free
This might actually change soon on Listly – we plan to automatically make first three lists premium without the user having to choose them.

In reply to: [Listly: Listicles For Wordpress] Awesome Invention!Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the post and the feature requests. We are working on many of the requests you mention – it will be a matter of a few weeks before you can completely customize look and feel of your embeds.
We don’t automatically tweet on behalf of anyone – some other plugin on your page sent that tweet out?
Regarding other people embedding your list, it is a great way to get new audience, because each embed links back to the original author of the list. Think of it as distribution rather than stealing.

In reply to: [Listly: Listicles For Wordpress] Button images don't load. Can you post a link of your page where this happens?
The new plugin is now live. It includes caching as part of your wordpress install.
Lots of other scaling aspects have been added to the latest version of Listly including the lazy loading.
Upgrading to the latest plugin should fix this issue for you.
I believe it’s specific to a gallery layout in the embed.
Sharing an item works on Listly in Gallery mode but not perfectly, but the embed does not – thanks for logging. We need to explore. I will keep you posted.
Sharing an it works in both cases for full and short embeds
