ClaytonJames–ok. Thanks for explaining that to me. I guess I’ll have to find a new theme. So how do you know which themes are “good” and which ones are laced with garbage? All of these strange keywords were popping up in my Google data and I couldn’t figure out why. Now I know.

Next time, I would advise you not to assume anything. I haven’t seen nor have I read any forum welcome message. And if you are a moderator, you need to have a little more tact when responding to people on here. Not everyone who comes here is “tech savvy” or in the mood for condescending attitudes. In fact, do not reply to me because I’m done with this conversation and you might as well delete this thread.

Esmi–first of all, I am new to all of this website and blogging stuff so forgive me if I’m not following protocol. I didn’t know that my theme was full of encrypted code when I downloaded it.

And if you can’t answer my questions with your snide commentary, then I would ask that you not respond to my thread. Trying to figure this stuff out is frustrating enough without smart remarks from people like you.

All I am trying to do for right now is to remove a bunch of crappy ads in the footer, but whenever I touch the footer.php my website locks me out. Can someone help me to decode the ad stuff in the functions.php.
