Sorry I didn’t see this sooner to respond. The error you’re seeing is due to your server not running on PHP 7+ as the code currently uses return types. I’m sorry that the documentation did not make this clear.
I will make an update to the plugin removing the PHP 7.0+ exclusive features to resolve your issue.
