I really need an answer to this question. I went to the CPanel and the folder is there. The host says there could be a conflict with version 4.2 and the plugin. Could you please weight in on this!!

Got it. You need to deactivate Jetpack, then install and hook back up to WordPress.com (not .org)

Had to go into cPanel and delete from the plugin folder. Very strange.
