In reply to: CSS code for button, where and how to add code to siteGuy –
Thanks so much for your very clear help.
I added the button css code to the bottom of the css style sheet as you suggested.
My next questions is what do I add to the page html to have the button show on a page. And what do I add to html so the button links properly.I am currently using the Genesis Agency Pro child theme.
http//:www.lindavarone.comI understand that Sharaholic is making changes. I DO have the latest version of Sharaholic, but relating to the original question in this thread there is no place where I can change the setting for the number of thumbnails to display. The help info on the Sharaholic settings describes tabs and links that do not exist. the only options are to display thumbnails or not. Is this being worked on and when will it be resolved?

In reply to: Bug in 3.4.1 – images not displayed where positionedMike – I set up my images using the icons rather than coding. Doing this a month ago and in the weeks since resulted in mis-algined images. When I checked the post in HTML view it showed the word “alignright”, but the image was not aligned to the right You say it is not showing up now? Veeeeerrrrrry interesting. Where do I put the coding for “alignright”? Where in the line of code in HTML view?
thanks, Linda

In reply to: Can't update posts/pages after upgrade to 3.4.1after updating WP to 3.4.1 there is a difference in image location on a post. It shows up in the desired location on the right the edit version, but in the preview version it is on the left with no text wrap. Repeated deleting of the image, changing it to the left in the image install function, etc did nothing to change the placement of the image in the preview view. Looking at the HTML view the coding reads “align right” I have never had this happen before I updated to 3.4.1.

In reply to: comments not visible or functional on blog pagemacmanx-
I fiiiinalllly get it. “postname” is not an example, but the actual code.
I made the changes in “Custom Structure” But I still have “.com/blog” as a suffix on all my webpage URL names and a bar across the top of the permalinks page saying I need to make changes in .htaccess
Can you help me on this too? Or do I need to start a new thread?

I changed the “Custom Structure” to /%post name with hypens%/ and it shows up on the edit page for the post.I am not sure if this is on the website or not.
But the page title for all my website pages continue to have the sufix “blog” that I added to the Custom Structure permalinks thinking that it was the permalink for the blog page only. Consequently all my page title codes or what ever the top line on the mozilla page shows and in the permalink change function on the individual pages continue to show the “blog” suffix.
A WP notice on the permalinks page said I need to change the .htaccess and the writablity permissions. I changed the writiablity permissions, but could not figure out where to paste the new code on the permalinks page because I could not figure out how to find or open the .htaccess file on the FTP.I thought I was following the direction in “WP for Dummies” and setting up pretty permalinks, but it is a disaster I can’t solve.

In reply to: comments not visible or functional on blog pageDear Jeremy-
I looked in my permalinks and could not find the extra links code there.
I disabled all my plugins with no improvement, except I lost a custom image and can’t remember how I set it up.
Where would I find and fix the coding for links and how does this impact on making the box for comments visible on the blog page?
