Hi alchymyth,
Thank you very much for your detailed response. So, if I am understanding you correctly, you are saying that the popoppoems site use of the .singular body_class is not ideal? and that i should change that to match the same body_class that juliecaffey is using?
And then from there i should find alternative CSS rules to change the color of the text?
Could you please tell me how you were able to identify that the two sites were using different body_classes? And then, how would I change the popuppoems to be the same as the juliecaffey?
Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi alchymyth.
Thanks for your response. I’m glad you were able to identify what the issue might be. I’m still a newbie, so that wasn’t something I found on my own.
I re-added the sidebar using a short code outlined in this article:
https://futurewebblog.com/add-sidebar-support-posts-twenty-eleven-theme/The author said to add the code <?php get_sidebar(); ?> into the “single.php” file, which I did. However, when I did that to the julie site, it still didn’t bring the sidebar over, so I followed a piece of additional advice that he outlined in a comment. This was to add the code on the page below to the “functions.php” file.
When I added the code found on this page to my functions file, the sidebar was added to the julie site. I thought that was great, but then have this issue with the text color and the next/previous navigation still appearing on the single blog posts.
Do you think you could explain to me how I can change the julie site to use the .singular body_class as the popuppoems site?
Thank you very much for your time!

I am very new to all of this, so I do have another question. I am using the Plug In called “Custom Post Type UI” which allowed me to create the Custom Post Type very easily from the admin. So, I am not really sure where I need to add the class as you suggested. Do I add it to my Child Theme style sheet? Or somewhere else?
Thank you for your help!
