I have also had a problem with the latest upgrade of Yoast. Upgraded last night. My host had to deactivate the plugin today as the site was all blank pages.
WP 4.8.3 Yoast 5.71 PHP 7

Would love to know when problem is fixed by Yoast.

Sorry, how can I get you more error info? where can I find it?
My hosting provider suggested trying an older version of the plugin. Is there a way to download an older version?
