In reply to: [The SEO Framework – Fast, Automated, Effortless.] Image base64 404 ErrorsYour site’s been hacked.
Today the filter appears to be working as it should. Sorry to have wasted your time.
Reading this thread leaves me nervous. I have posts that are priority 0.0 in the sitemap I just generated (not yet submitted to G) but they are “evergreen” content and my most trafficked. Won’t the low priority kill off my ranking??

In reply to: How to keep old html pages active simultaneously with wordpressI just stumbled onto a solution. I wouldn’t recommend doing this for a huge quantity of pages, but for just a few, it’s workable:
Let’s say the current/old page filename is: /my_page.html
What you do is:
1. Delete it (assuming you have a local copy)
2. Create a directory/folder named “my_page.html”
3. Upload the old file into that directory/folder.
4. Rename the uploaded file to index.html
5. Test it: https://www.yourdomain.com/my_page.htmlThat’s pretty much it and it will live alongside a root WordPress installation.
You’ll also need to update all relative file/image URLs in the HTML of that page since the page is now one level up, but that’s should be a simple find/replace!
***BUT*** I’m surprised nobody called me out on claiming that .html files cannot live alongside WordPress!!! It turns out that what I’m experiencing with WP combining its styling with my html files is because they are not .html, but .shtml! (Pages that use server-side includes). .html files work just fine.
Mystery solved, and I have a solution for .shtml files (outlined above). I hope this helps others for what must be a very uncommon problem. ??

In reply to: How to keep old html pages active simultaneously with wordpressHmm, that’s what I was afraid of. I have some pages that rank at #1, so with any changes in the new redirected page I risk losing ranking if I don’t preserve just the right things… I’m quite nervous to do it. (Have the new site almost complete on a .net variation of the domain, but will be moving it all to the .com for launch).

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] It’s REALLY slowHi, I understand everything you wrote. Part of my problem was the very slow “hanging” time which looks like processing. I think I’ve narrowed this down to my browser, or it’s my ISP throttling my activity.
It’s definitely not my internet speed as I have on average 150 to 200 MBPS down (350 being the top possible) and 100 to 150 MBPS up. It should not be my web host either. Im on a mid-tier hosting plan with SiteGround, who specialize in WordPress hosting.
So, I’m switching to Chrome to see if there is any discernable difference.
I’ll also follow your database clean up tips.

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] It’s REALLY slowI’ve had so much trouble with this plugin recently. It worked flawlessly on another site on the same host. Now I keep having to sit there waiting forever and it keeps finding non-existant folders and file references. i de-activate the plugin, activate the reset one, reset the database and then even check the list and see that it’s cleared. But once I reactive the main plugin and go to it, it still has the old folders again.
I’m about to rip my hair out.

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Folders that no longer exist don’t go awayI went through the steps again and this time it worked.

In reply to: [Media Library Folders] Folders that no longer exist don’t go awayI followed your FAQ instructions to deactivate the plugin, activate the Reset PLugin, reset the databasse… etc… So now I am back with MLF reactivated and yet it’s still showing folders that no longer exist!!
