CTC was developed before WordPress switched to block themes and we have not investigated the changes that block themes entail. Hopefully in the near future we will have a better answer for you.

I received this same report from someone else who was using the German translation of the plugin. It appears there is an issue with the translation module. We did not create this translation so I am not sure what the exact problem is.

Child themes do not need to be updated. They inherit the updates of the parent theme.

The whole point of using a child theme is so that you can update the parent theme without losing your customizations. The child theme does not need to be updated unless you have customized template files that have changed in the parent theme to a degree that they need to be updated as well. This should not happen often, if ever.

Only template files can be copied successfully to the Child Theme. The plugin specifically excludes any files inside /inc/

Try moving your template functions to the child theme functions.php file. See here for more information.

The plugin makes a backup of the style.css file before writing to style.css. This occurs with each update made.
