In reply to: sharing plugins not showing up on blog after activationOh, haha, I hadn’t realized that I had forgotten to mark this issue as resolved … for future reference and for others dealing with the same issue… it was indeed my header code as WPyogi suggested. Thanks WPyogi!
I’m still finding a few small issues, such as getting the ‘related content’ to show up properly (they are showing up fine one moment and then blank or overlapping the next), but I think I should probably start a new topic for that one.
P.s. the link above is no longer accurate.
I’ve set the blog to be accessed from the root instead so the site is now simply lifeskope.com not lifeskope.com/blogThanks! Good luck! And may the force be with you ;).

In reply to: sharing plugins not showing up on blog after activationHi, still having trouble with same issue as before :/.
Most of the plugins are working fine with the normal theme tho so the conflict must lie with my customized one.
WPyogi mentioned that the header code of my child theme didn’t look right.
I’ve since fixed a few things but still no share bar!?
Can someone please take a look at my code again and help me figure out what I’ve messed up :[ ? I’ve been fiddling around with it for over 6 months so i’m not sure even where to begin my look for where the problem might be.
Thanks!!!

In reply to: sharing plugins not showing up on blog after activationHmmm. Ok ShareThis is staying blank. Shareaholic is working great BUT only on the normal theme, not on my customized one. :/
But so you think it’s my header code causing the conflict then?

In reply to: sharing plugins not showing up on blog after activationHmmm. ok well hmmm I see the floating bar now but its blank! :/
I’m going to deactivate this one and re active the shareaholic one and see if it shows up right.

In reply to: sharing plugins not showing up on blog after activationOh really, hmmm. No i haven’t, i’ll try that right now. But question: you say it doesn’t look like its a child theme. Hmmm. Do you know what i did wrong? I designed the site lay out in html then followed a tutorial online on how to convert it to a child theme and it seemed to work ?? and has been satisfactory till now but :-\ if its having problems like this now…hmm. Any suggestions on that side? Thank you for your help. I’ll try to test that now…

In reply to: Hi, my twentyeleven child theme background won't changeHi sorry, correction… check the main page. The front page is just html so that’s why I’m positive it has to be a conflict of CSS :/?

In reply to: Turning a customized theme into a child theme?Ok so I just read this wordpress article on child themes.
And I think I understand better. I see that the stylesheet call I’ve been referring to (called @import) is NOT necessary. Only the “Template” line is in the customized style sheet.
Very cool. I’ve still got a lot to learn :).
