In reply to: [evolve] ‘Save’ leads to ‘page not found’I don’t use any other theme, sorry. And it’s a live site in the middle of an important season, so I’m reluctant to play with changing the theme as a bunch of stuff might not work any more…
I thought of trying Healthcheck, but it’s not tested with WP 5

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Problem with gutenburgThis sounds similar to the problem I’m having since updated to WP 5.0.3 – any change to CF7, and Save goes to ‘page not found’ :-/
Is CF7 using Gutenburg as the editor, for plain text?? It isn’t visible to me (maybe my Theme is too old), but the effect is the same, unable to Save.
When I edit posts or pages, it will not Save iff I use the Classic editor, but does save when I use the Block editor.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] ‘Save’ on CF7 form leads to ‘page not found’PS – I’ve been using CF7 happily on this site since 2014, and this problem has cropped up effectively overnight. I think WP-5 was the only change. And yes, I should know better than to do a crucial update in the middle of conference registration season! :-/

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Updated CF7 / WP removed rb block layout??Thanks @edikitt, putting
span.wpcf7-list-item { display: block; !important }
in my Custom CSS section has fixed the problem on all my forms. ?? (It does NOT fix it if simply put in the CF7 form tab ‘Additional Settings’ though that’s what it’s there for.)Thanks @hydro1313, I’ll keep a copy of v4.7 just in case. I guess the simple thing (if I had to do it) is to just uninstall 4.8 (doesn’t that delete it too?) and re-install from the 4.7 download. But I have several forms on the site, and am really glad that adding
!important
has solved the problem without the process of down-grading and having to copy and reinstate all those forms.Thank you both for your help!! *wave*

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Updated CF7 / WP removed rb block layout??Ah, a known issue! Thanks @hydro1313, and for the download link and other tips & resources. I will try the WP dashboard route, and if that doesn’t work I’ll try FTP or cPanel.
I did backup the complete site before the updates. Funny I was more worried about the WP one! Are bugs in updates common?
I’ll work on this in the morning and let you know how I get on.:-)

In reply to: [CF7 Google Sheets Connector] Blocking Redirection@vfdornelas If you haven’t sorted your redirect problem, perhaps you need the same solution I did, which is to create a spreadsheet for each CF7 form on your site.
That solved my problem redirecting to PayPal and other pages. Good luck!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Email issue for CF7Finally resolved – here is some info for anyone searching for a fix:
First worked through https://kb.cf7skins.com/contact-form-7-email-issues/.
Contacted my web host, who very helpfully
o checked that there were no issues from their perspective
o checked my WP installation and found that
– I had wp-smtp installed and active
– but it wasn’t correctly set upI didn’t understand enough to make the right choices. But in case my set up works for you, here is a link to the screen:

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Email issue for CF7Well, actually this *is not* “resolved” – still waiting for some help on making it work!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Email issue for CF7Hi@buzztone – yes, I know. I did that in the hope that it would solve the problem (because it didn’t work when it wasn’t there, either).
But thanks for responding! ?? As it’s not working as it is, I could just go back to the other way anyway, as nothing is lost. Just for the sake of good practice.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Mail (2) partial issueIf I use this format exactly (on the main Mail Additional Headers) as shown in Contact Form 7 help…
I get the error ‘has not been sent’ – but yet it *sort of* works, I receive the main admin email to admin addresses only (even though cc to [your-email]). And the proper Mail (2) goes to tech only via cc, NOT the end user as it should (though the right user email shows in the email heaader that arrives, so it has been accurately parsed)). ??
But if I DON’T put the CC [your-email] in the Mail header, the Mail (2) email does not arrive at all, even in tech. And there is no error message, only a ‘successfully sent’ message on screen.
What is going on? Here is a picture of my header fields.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Mail (2) partial issueWith further testing, I find I am unable to use
[first-name] [last-name] <[your-email]>
in ANY field other than the From: field on the MAIN email form.If I use it in any other field (on the main form or Mail (2), including cc: or bcc: I get a red error message that it failed to send – AND YET I receive a copy to my domain email in the To: field, and the ‘reply-to’ also works.

In reply to: [Frontier] List all Profiles – finesseHi Ron – Thanks for this info – sorry, I’ve been away, but have this evening been looking into this again. I’ve tried the plugin you mention, but find it confusing because I don’t really understand the relationship of Profiles to Posts. But I have also discovered the Profile plugin has its own short codes.
However – Although I can successfully bring the Profiles into a page, and get the right info, and order, it seems to have lost the Frontier formating which I would like to keep – the smaller font and orange divider.
BOTH plugin shortcodes have the same formatting problem.
So the original search results look like this
And the short-code-in-page version like this
Am I missing something obvious?

In reply to: [Frontier] List all Profiles – finesseThat’s the big question – how do I edit the html of a page I didn’t create and that isn’t in the list?
Editing the html of those pages is what I need to do for headings, too. I have hidden the H1 headings (which are used to generate the menu) on created pages, and added in my own h1 headings (which are slightly different from the menu – eg ‘Welcome’ on the Home page).
But that means I have no H1 on the Events page or the Practitioners’ page, because I haven’t found the access to the html.

In reply to: [Frontier] List all Profiles – finesseThanks for your reply Ron.
The first option of using a function seems tidy, so I’ve tried the 3rd on the list and don’t seem to be able to make it work. I put it near the top of the file, and then I moved it to the very bottom (in case that matters). What’s wrong with what I’m doing that it doesn’t work?
…easier if the plugin that you’re using supports shortcodes… just add that on your page.
That’s where I started – but where is ‘the page’ to edit? It is not in my list of Pages, how do I edit it?
This is the search results page.
