Hi James, i had the option enabled and have both jpeg and webp in my folders, but when i deleted the plugin, photos did not revert to jpeg. So, when i open the photos that are inside the posts i see the webp in the library, under which says: Original photo “example.jpeg” .
All posts published when i had the plugin enabled, still load the webp versions and i really need a way to replace them, because i have discovered through GSC, many feature photos of the posts, are hotlinked in spammy websites. And this happens as i see only with the Webp photos, not any Jpegs from previous posts.

Hi James, thank you for the reply. I had the JPEG opion enabled so indeed, i do have the JPEG versions uploaded. I just don’t know how to replace the Webp versions replaced with the jpegs, so i can later delete the WebP versions

Hi, you are telling the same thing again and again. I already told you above that i have cleared cache a thousand times. I am using WP Rocket.

No issues, i just didn’t like the way the website showed back then, when i had installed the plugin. Some features i used then, were not showing OK with AMP. So i decided to delete it. After that, i have thousands posts showing the errors i mentioned above in Google Search Console

I have cleared cache a thousand times…How could any other plugin create amp links?

If that is your advise, i should disable each plugin for at least 1 week to see if these links disappear from the GSC? For 20 plugins it would take half a year. And when this started to happen it was more than a year ago, when i had half of the plugins i have now installed

thank you for the reply. I am not sure if i wrote about my issue correctly, so i will try to make it more particular. These wordfence generated urls point to existing single posts, they do not redirect to the homepage.

I do have website searches redirect to 404 though, but this wordfence behavior -generating wordfence links- started before i implemented searches to 404.

Update: To anyone facing this issue, it is a Wp Rocket compatibility issue. The share buttons were actually showing, but they were pushed at the bottom of the page, stacked, instead of the article’s side.
I reverted to WP Rocket previous version and the issue is resolved, but will need to talk with WP Rocket support about this.
