In reply to: Images not showing on a few installsHi John,
My experience is that while themes may come with those photos, they will be not pre-slotted into pages, posts, and widgets. Those always need to manually entered into the sites.

In reply to: Images not showing on a few installsHi John,
Yep, I sure do mean ‘preview’ when I write ‘demo’.
To get your own site to look like the preview, you’ll need to add the images to the pages, posts, and widgets on your site. So, navigate to the page on which you want a certain to appear, and then via the edit page within the WordPress dashboard, add the image(s) via the ‘Add media’ or ‘Set featured image’ buttons and links.

In reply to: Unresponsive Widget pageHi @betinca,
Hmm … are the widgets loading properly on the front end of the site?
Also, do you know how many widgets you are using across your site?

In reply to: Images not showing on a few installsHi John,
Ah, let me walk myself through this. Can you follow me and let me know if I got this right?
* You saw a demo version of a theme that you liked.
* You installed that theme on your own site.
* You’re seeing the images from the demo in the media library, but they are not displaying on the front end of your site, like you saw in the demo.Is that correct?
If so, then the answer is that you’ll need to add those images yourself to each page, post, or widget. You can do so within the WordPress dashboard. If you’re looking for guidance on how to do so, you may want to check out the theme’s documentation to see if there’s anything there to help.

In reply to: Can not see posts after reuploading filesHmmm … It might be worth trying resetting the permalinks. Go to the WordPress dashboard, Settings > Permalinks and under Common Settings, click on your preferred radio button. Then click on the blue Save button at the bottom of the page.
Sometimes that can resolve these sort of issues.

In reply to: Images not showing on a few installsHi @johndiver,
From your brief description, it seems like you’ve uploaded images to the media library from within the WordPress dashboard.
Yet from the link you shared about (the page I need help with …), I don’t see any images within the source code. That indicates to me that no images have been placed in a post or page. Can you please add a photo or two to this page so we can troubleshoot a bit further?

In reply to: Unresponsive Widget pageHi @betinca,
That doesn’t sound fun! Can you please talk through “has become unresponsive” a bit? When you’re in the WordPress dashboard, does the widget admin page freeze when you land on it? something else? I’m uncertain the specific problem you’re experiencing.

In reply to: How do I create my profile image to use on my WordPress site?Hi @bingisilas,
When you write “profile image”, do you mean a favicon?

If so, there’s a good article on WP Beginner that will walk you through the process:

In reply to: Problems logging in to accountHi @37528161-1,
It looks like your web host is BlueHost. Have you contacted BlueHost about your access issues?
Also, have you tried using the “Lost your password?” on your login page?

Do you have FTP or SFTP access to your dev server? If so, could you manually add the missing PHP file to your install?

In reply to: Adding Media – Attachment Display SettingsHi @mauricecambs –
As I understand it, while WordPress does generate a thumbnail of the PDF (for previewing within the media library), there is no way to post that thumbnail to the front end of the site. As you noted PDF files are only postable as linked files.
