Yep, sure is. If you go to Appearance > Menus and then click on the individual item you would like to edit, you can see that you can edit the written copy that goes into the menu link in the ‘Navigation Label’ field.

Is it possible that the theme came loaded with filler content? It’s not uncommon for purchased, premium themes to come with that sort of written copy and imagery already installed. If that was the case, then it would be on the theme owner (like you and whoever runs controlconcepts.net) to change that filler content into content suitable for your business.

In looking at the code on the site that you shared, I saw that that functionality is delivered via a plugin called Themeum Presets. That plugin is not available on the WordPress plugin repository. It may be worth connecting directly with the people at Themeum to ask if it is available for download anywhere.

Thanks for sharing the link. When I visit your site and hover my mouse over the PREPARE Courses link, I see the following URL as the destination of that link:

I then looked a little further and, by typing the URL into the address bar saw that your PREPARE Courses page does exist and has successfully been published:

So, it may be that you need to edit the custom menu via Appearance > Menus. When on the Menus page, click on the individual menu item to see if that item is where the link to /services__trashed/ lies.

Does your new page have the same page title as your old, trashed ‘Services’ page? If you’re logged in and you try to get to that new page via the old slug, you may in fact, be seeing the old page.

If you can edit a bit of code, then the best way would be to create a child theme for the Tora theme and edit the desired code within the footer.php file of your child theme.

If you’ve not created your own child theme before, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do so. In honesty, it’s pretty easy to do and won’t take too long.

Are you able to swap to a different theme to see if its a theme setting that is overriding that default WordPress functionality? I appreciate you may not want to do that on your live (production) site, so maybe making the swap on a staging environment or in a local install would be a better move.

You’re welcome! It’s more than likely to a local work network issue. I’ve had at least three or four clients over the years run into the same issue – and it’s always been a local network issue. I’d definitely start there.

Network-related issues can be a real problem and are difficult to troubleshoot from afar.

That said, my experience has been that if your local network (for accessing local work servers and files, etc.) at work is set to the same domain as your website, viewing the website from within your local network can cause the sort of problems you seem to be experiencing.

As I don’t work in IT, I don’t know exactly how to address the issue, but I’d suggest looking at your local network configuration as a starting place. It may require changes to your local network configuration.
