Ok, see, now they get a title and a link and an excerpt all in one with POST, that’s cool.

So, how do I create a digest mail (as I did before, say in version 8.5 and before) with excerpts and a link underneath the excerpt of a post, followed by the next excerpt etc?

Sorry for the question, it’s probably something simple, but I don’t see it now.

Yes, I forgot to mention that; have done all that and it didn’t change anything.

However, I’ve been reading more posts about similar problems, and although I couldn’t find a solution (people replying “found it, my fault, sorry”, really helpful ?? I did see somebody mentioned he moved his wordpress site into a folder. I did something similar not too long ago.

Now, while writing this message, I found the problem and it’s solved:
I had made changes to the .htaccess file in the root folder, but my index.php wasn’t there anymore, and the new location of wordpress wasn’t reflected in the .htaccess file in the wordpress folder.

Now that’s done all shortcodes work again.

I’ve got exactly the same question as Dylan:

I want to change all the posts in category 5. I want them to be author 2 instead of author 1. Since post_category is no longer used, this is very tricky.

I’m fine with sql queries, but don’t get the wp_term_relationships and wp_term_taxonomy / posts / categories idea.

So how to quickly (we’re talking over 2000 posts here (imported via rss)) change authors of posts in a specific category.

Ok, I’m new to the tag business: but here’s my question: If I add certain tags to a post, I’d like to see underneath my post, say the last 5 posts of which the tags match as much as possible, with the best match on top. Is something like that possible and if so, how? Thanks!

I’ve got it worse than any of you I guess. I upgraded to 2.3, but didn’t disbale the plugins first. Site didn’t work anymore. It shows a ‘cannot display page’ in IE and in firefox the pages are cut off. In firefox, I could get into the admin. So i disabled all plugins, reverted to the default theme, but the problem stayed. Even worse: all sites on that dedicated server that use mysql are in problems now. They don’t work, or work half. If I use ‘top’ in the shell, I can see that mysqld just builds up and up in time. ‘ve tried a lot now (rebooted the server, restarted mysql, but nothing seems to work). So apart from my wordpress site not working, lots of other sites now don’t work either.

If anyone thinks of a possible solution, that’d be great!
