In reply to: Comments not being emailed after server changeTurns out that the default settings were set in my wp-options db, thus:
It looks like your database has default settings for your wordpress
installations mailserver settings. In order to send properly, you will want to change the following values in your “wp-options” table in the database:mailserver_url mail.example.com
mailserver_login [email protected]
mailserver_pass passwordOnce these are filled in with the proper values, you should be able to send properly. As always, if you have any other questions, please let us know and we’ll reply as soon as possible!
Only, changing those values didn’t work.

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: BlogAds Widget non-op in 2.2?Yeah, I’ve noticed that – in fact it isn’t possible to activate the sidebar widget plug-in. But I was using the AdRotator widget/plugin to carry my BlogAds content in four separate “widgets” numbered 1-4. Now, no matter what html content is in the different widgets it shows the content from the #1 widget.

In reply to: Did it work? Thanks for your patience, all: Turns out I’d loaded the 2.0.2 files to the top level of the webhost, and not to the public_html directory that the blog itself is accessed from. Thus, when deleting and replacing the old files, I was in the “wrong hole.”
All better now.

In reply to: Did it work?Ran it again, same results. Deleted everything but WP-Content and config.php
That’s frustrating. The only files in there that I can see which are *not* updated from the 2.0.3 bundle as of 6/12 (or so) are the
wp-images folder
wp-config.php
smilies folder
php.ini
error_log
cgi-bin folder
500.shtml
500.php
404.shtml
403.shtml
401.shtml
400.shtmland a number of clearly non-WP files.
Rats. With a ball peen hammer.

In reply to: Did it work?Well, I thank you for your persistence in helping. But the source file came straight out of ofthe 2.0.3.zip bundle. Guess I’ll just keep plugging away at it. Hmm.

In reply to: Did it work? Thanks for the assist. As far as I could tell, they were identical. Just for kicks, I trashed the old version.php on the remote, and FTP’d a new copy. Ran the upgrade.php file again, still no joy.
Gosh.

In reply to: Did it work? Can’t think what I’m doing wrong – this is my third run through, and I’m still showing 2.0.1
Anybody else have a clue?

In reply to: Did it work?Well, thanks. Back to the drawing board ??
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 404 not working after upgrade to 2.0.1Well, I guess I wanked too soon. All better now. Not sure if this is the same problem to which you were referring, but I set the default theme, turned all the plugins off (again) deleted everything from the server except the wp-config, content and images folder and reinstalled one more time.
After that reset my theme and went through the plugins one at a time. Had to goof with runPHP and ELA through a few sequences to get it right.
Good luck.
