After updating again to 3.2.0, and editing a post again (either old or new), the message “no categories found” appears only briefly after I click “Enable Future Action”, and is then replaced with the normal box from which I can select categories… Not sure what happened…

problem solved

The fresh install goes smoothly after I removed EWWW Image Optimizer 2.5.9

So I guess that NextGen Gallery and EWWW Image Optimizer are not compatible.

I understand now that this shortcode uses google, meaning that google has to download the file before it can be displayed, hence the delay (at best).

It’s not as nice, but at least it’s there.
