In reply to: [BackUpWordPress] Stuck at "Creating Zip"Seems I am having this problem (stuck at creating zip file) as well. My blog is self-hosted. The backup plugin worked fine for me on a previous site. I moved the site to a new domain name and it hasn’t worked since. I also changed the theme when I went to the new URL.
I just now uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin (v 2.2.4), but same result (spinning circle when creating a backup zip file).
What else should I try?

In reply to: [Catch Box] RSS feed redirects and will not resolveThanks. I’ve deactivated all the plugins (other than the Feedburner Email Subscription widget I’m now using) and tried it. I’ve closed the browser and tried it. None of this has changed the result.
Do you get a different result when you click on the RSS subscription widget in the last pod on the right hand menu? (If you do, then clearly it’s my “system” or browser that’s the problem. If you get the “redirect…and will never resolve” message, then its a setup problem.)

In reply to: [Catch Box] RSS feed redirects and will not resolvenavigatehighed is now a validated feed at feedburner. The sample feed looks perfect. But the RSS subscription button still results in an unresolvable redirect.
P.S. there is no need to be rude.

In reply to: [Catch Box] RSS feed redirects and will not resolveAre you from Catch Box? I’m looking for a Catch Box specific answer here.
I have an existing site at lesschmidt.net that uses a different theme, but the feeds work just fine (https://lesschmidt.net/feed/) without having to register them with feedburner or do anything. It just worked straight out of the box.
So my original post was about the CatchBox theme and how it handles feeds.
I am trying to launch this new site (https://navigatehighed.com) using the Catch Box theme and expected the feeds to work when I activated the widget.I “validated” the feed at feedburner (went through the first two steps), but did not “register” the feed at feedburner.. I am not interested in signing up for a service that Google seems intent on deprecating.

In reply to: [Catch Box] RSS feed redirects and will not resolveSorry about that. The link to the site is: https://navigatehighed.com. RSS links are located in the right nav (toward the bottom) and in the footer.

Add 1 more. Installed wp-statistics yesterday.
My blog is relatively new so it may be easier to see the discrepancies.
Per wp-Statistics:
- 150 visitors today
- 5 entries (IP addresses) in the “stats log” (under statistics)
Per JetPack:
- 1 visitor today
I’m inclined to trust the JetPack numbers until proven otherwise.
@ James – Thank you for your post. I’m a new WordPress (V3.0.5) and new to Twitter Tools as well. I probably spent 4-6 hours looking for a reason why my posts were not generating a tweet. Your post re Twitter application settings (“…set as Read and Write”) was the solution! For all the web’s glory, sometimes the simplest things get in the way of a great user experience! Thanks again!
