I guess we have a different understanding of what is better.
I understand that the users that have no clue about coding might appreciate it, but your desire to compete with page buiders should not be forced on all the users of WP.
There are people that prefer when the elements in the editor are clearly separated from each other and don’t freely float inside a white space, when they don’t take a half of the screen without a need for it. The classic interface is much cleaner and neater, as well as easier to navigate through.
Personally, I would way more appreciate a code highlighter and automatic tag closing that desktop code editors have. I never appreciated page builders and was always adding content via “Text” tab (with html tags). I don’t think I’m alone feeling this way.
At least make the Gutenberg an option. Thanks.
