I realize the original purpose of this plugin is for collaboration projects, but instead I am using it for training purposes.
I have a password protected page set up for the business executive officer so that he can monitor the training and progression of work by his IT Dept Mgr (the person I’m training on WP for their new business site).
So I don’t actually want to remove the tasks from the dashboard. I’d rather they show as “completed” for the person I’m training – I see this (if it worked properly marking “completed”) as a good motivator to the person being trained.
Even though I’ve explained to him it is not working properly and I am in fact marking his tasks completed as gets them done, and he understands this… each time we get on the phone to train and he logs into his editor dashboard he remarks about those tasks being completed and jokes that they say “past due” instead… almost seems to take a bit of the wind out of his sails.
Hopefully this makes better sense for you in regards to how I’ve chosen to utilize your plugin.
As I’ve said though – regardless of this glitch it is working out very well as a training and project task list. If you can work out the glitch that’d be great ?? if not, then that’s ok too.
It is an awesome plugin and I’m glad I found it. I can think of other scenarios (not necessarily “collaboration” based) that this would work very well for too.
Thanks for your prompt and friendly replies!! You ROCK!!
LLHi John,
I went through disabling the other plugins this weekend and there was no change to the Propel widgets status of the tasks.What is happening in the Propel dashboard widgets – when I have marked tasks as “complete” they do not show as completed, but instead once their date of completion occurs they then display as “past due” – even though I’ve marked them “completed”.
Perhaps I’ve misunderstood – and the intention is that when a task is completed it should be removed from the task list??
I had hoped that the tasks would display in the dashboard widget in the same manner they do on the page with the shortcode displaying them, showing the percentage of completion.
None the less, in all other aspects this plugin works very well.
Thank you for your reply!
LLDuh… nevermind. Just dawned on me this resides in the database. I should be able to export this from existing database and import it into the new database.
Marking this one resolved.
After further research I found this is purposely set to occur to prevent malicious html activity via the form. I am marking this resolved.
Ok I have fixed the issue with slash inserted in front of apostrophes by disabling magic quotes in the php.ini file.
I am still having the problem with it inserting a slash in front of quotation marks.
Any ideas how to remedy this please??
Thank you,

In reply to: How to enable footer widgets in Twenty TenOk – great idea – hadn’t thought of that.
I went through all “activated” plugins to no avail – that is not the problem either.
Grrr… I must have modified something in the theme to cause this – I’ll have to test the NON-modified theme to see if that is the case.
Thanks!

In reply to: How to enable footer widgets in Twenty TenYes – I did drag widgets to the correct areas and saved them – but they do not show on any pages.
That’s why I was wondering if they had to be “enabled” somewhere – though I thought I read they were enabled by default.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS IssueLooks Great!! Good job!
The text settings are just below this line (line 333):
.wpp_row_view ul.wpp_overview_data .property_title { font-size: 1.4em; }
in the wp-properties.css file.
Just below that you’ll see text settings for title, price, phone, address, etc.
Have a good evening.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS Issueput your black backgrounds and text colors back, then add your realty widget and lets see how it looks.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS IssueThat fixed it – the left side alignment is what you wanted, yes?
I love Twenty Ten – it automatically fixed content and sidebar to fit.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS IssueOk, this is clearly an issue with the WP-Property plugin. While I was waiting, I opened their demo page ( https://sites.twincitiestech.com/wp-property/property/crossing-town-center/ ) in my editor and it too is out of control… some elements laying on top of the left content area and theirs even busts completely out the right side of the main container.
But I can see that overall this is a very thorough and useful application for managing property information – we’ll just have to work around these issues for the moment – and I’d suggest you contact them and ask kindly if they will repair the css/layout issues with this plugin. — I use a few of their other plugins and they are excellent for their intending purpose. — Perhaps they’ll be open to your request and address this issue.
First lets fix the page – then you’ll put the realty widget back in place when we’re done.
Just under
/* =Structurechange
#wrapper { margin: 0 auto; width: 940px; }
to
#wrapper { margin: 0 auto; width: 822px; }
This is the width of your header/menu bar.
Then we’ll need to adjust the content and sidebar settings to fit this new size.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS Issueoy… it is those very css files that are causing the major problems in your page layouts.
Ok – pull that widget out for a moment, please – drag it down to the “inactive widgets” area, that way your settings will not be lost.
Put the pages widget in its place.
Lets be sure the problem is in fact with the realty widget css settings.

In reply to: Twenty Ten CSS IssueNo problem – we’ve all been where you’re at right now…
Did you also re-upload/overwrite ALL of the css files for the realty widget?? — I ask because the elements in that right side widget are still busting completely out of the sidebar boundaries – full width of page and below the footer.
Let me know
