Read the article by Chris Lema and you’ll understand why shortcodes are bad. Rather, perhaps a better integration is called for. Otherwise, if you have tons of products, you’ll need to delete all these shortcodes if you’re switching to another ecommerce provider.

Thanks, but what happens if and when the user decides to switch from Shopify to something else or if the plugin stops working or have a fatal error? He would be left with a lot of shortcode ??

it is related to gVectors.com, which is a seen as one legal entity, not multiple legal entities. If you’re gVector.com, then you’re not the same entity. As such, to warn consumers about gVectors.com encompasses the works of that one entity

Thanks gVectors. But the need is to give a warning to other consumers on gVector’s conduct ?? As such, the review is warranted.

Here’s how the story went. Imagine you are John and one day Steve Jobs announced a lifetime package for the next Apple OS which will also give you updates for all subsequent OSes. The deal seems too good to be true, and so you purchase an unlimited, lifetime license with lifetime updates for yourself.

8 months later, Steve Jobs passes away due to cancer, and Tim Cook takes over and buys majority share for himself. He then quietly disables your lifetime license and replaces it with a 1 year one. And you didn’t know better. There were no emails nor notifications nor anything.

At the end of one year, you try updating your OS and are told, “Sorry, you don’t get new updates because your license is lifetime without updates”. Perplexed, you check and find that no, you had purchase a lifetime license with lifetime updates! You then call the CS.

And the CS tells you, “Well, we have a new boss, so… no more updates. And it’s a different OS”

But didn’t you purchase a lifetime license with lifetime updates? ??
So you call the CS (customer support) yet again. And this time he says
“If it is such a big deal for you, we can change the name of the OS to solve this lifetime updates issue”

Do you think majority of Apple’s customers will sit still and say, “ok. Let’s move on with life”. Or would they then ask Apple to return them their lifetime licenses / take Apple to court?

Anyway, I don’t think I’ll do anything drastic other than doing a Paypal report. Becareful when dealing with gVectors.com ??

Thanks, but I bought the pro version on lifetime updates with unlimited sites ?? As such, my license remains as so, unlike all new licenses you sell.

I’m complaining not about the Pro support. But about the plugin in general due to unethical practices. Why don’t you post what you did on forums like WPChat.com or RiseForums.com and ask fellow developers on what they think? ??

That is untrue. The very fact that you are promoting the Pro version of your plugin on your free plugin page shows me that it is the same plugin.
