Almost 2 weeks and no response from WordFence support. I feel quite “unsupported”.
Actually, the first answer I received was a default answer which I already read (and tried) many times before posting my support request.

As mentioned, I tried to install the key several times in 24 hours, therefore the “24 hours expiring installation key” was not the problem.
I read the forum and I saw that WF recommended to install the license when Wordfence is the only active plugin, and I also tried that possibility before asking for help, but it did not work. Anyways, after your suggestion I did it once again. That does not solved the key installation error.
Let me try to explain the situation. Everything was working properly in my website until I changed the login password. I logged out and when I tried to login again, my new password was not recognised, 2way factor was not asked (never reached that point), though my IP was not blocked in different trials.
The only possibility I had to access to my wordpress was by editing files and hiding the WF folder. Once logged in, every time I activated the WF, I was not able to log in anymore. I was also not able to fix or uninstall WF from wordpress plugins menu, neither with the WF Assistant.

Finally, I deleted WF folders and databases manually and tried to reinstall, but installation key is not working. I’d like to kindly ask again, could it be the case that the “old license number” (which I lost) is still stored somewhere and is causing a conflict. How can I check that and how can I solve that?
