You’d need to ask your hosting company about updating the version of PHP being used on the site.
WordPress recommends PHP version 7.3 or greater:

It was really connected with Jetpack. I turned off the function “sharing”, so the problem was solved locally. But if I try to update my wordpress – I see “You cannot update because WordPress 5.2.2 requires PHP version 5.6.20 or higher. You are running version 5.4.45.”.

1) I would like to know what is the reason of the problem when my featured images on the main page of the websight are not shown up – but only a small icons?
….So my page looks awful without pictures.

2) How can I change the type, its size, caps letters in theme Illustratr?
