Since I’ve set licensed_hostname_prompt to false, all works fine now.
“Write to Files” is still enabled and no more crash could be noticed.

I think the empty licensed_hostname_prompt causing this error.

this fixed the issue with the global settings.
I could see, that your linked thread treated exactly the same issue as mine.
Is there any general fix? Disabling “Write to Files” is only a workaround.

What else I could determine: when the issue happens, my .htaccess file has always 400 lines. And the last line (line 400) is only written half.

I couldn’t found PHP-Errors at the time where the .htaccess file was written.

I’m not able to save the settings after uncheck “Write to Files”. Error Message: licensed_hostname_prompt is not of type boolean.

I have 80GB free space left. I don’t thing this can be the problem.

ich switched to Twenty Tweny-Tree and switched directly back to Twenty Sixteen.
Now it works. WTF?!

Please tell me a timeframe when you want to take a look.
I’ve downgraded to 21.8.1 again. And I think you want to test it with v22.0?

WP 5.8.1 is installed.

I have now directly updated from 16.9 to 17.2.1 (without install first 17, 17.1, 17,2,…) and now it works.

But https://your-domain.com/events/categories/cat-music/events.ics show all events from all categories.

Is there any way to bypass the check if Cookie Notice plugin is enabled?
I like Cookie Notice very much and it’s really helpful to fulfil GDPR regulations.
But I don’t want to be more Catholic than the Pope ?? (I understand the risk, that GDPR is not completely fulfilled with a bypass)

I found the issue: there is a plugin conflict with iThemes Security.
The setting “Filter long URLs” trigger this.

If you work correctly with blocks you shouldn’t need this plugin anymore.
Maybe it was just luck, but I’ve do several tests and all works fine for me.
