In reply to: [Display Authors Widget] Author Widget not workingIt wasn’t clear what you wanted me to do with the Permalinks, so I just set it to something else and then back to what I really wanted. Things seem to be working now. Thank you for the quick response and I hope your holidays were enjoyable!

In reply to: Solution for 2.3 database errors / wp_post2cat does not existI upgraded to 2.3.1 and got the “wp_post2cat does not exist” error. After reading this thread I went through my plugins and removed them one at a time to see which was causing the problem. The culprit was Category Access.
Just an FYI.

In reply to: diary-x entry importerWell guys, the owner of Diary-X managed to lose the one hard drive that had everything d-x related on it, and it seems he hasn’t done backups since December 2004.
I’m converting lots of people to WordPress just now, but it’d be really nice to have a utility that would allow people to import their Diary-X backups into WordPress. <nudge, nudge, wink, wink>

In reply to: How to merge three different wordpress blogsI’m still stuck with this guys. I’ve tried two different exporting plugins but have had no success with either one. The only reason I want to export is so that I can import the results into another wordpress blog. Trying to combine three databases into one was just too unwieldy for me.
Surely there are people out there who’ve wanted to export their wordpress for whatever reason!

In reply to: How to merge three different wordpress blogsThe WPexport plugin didn’t work for me. In fact it broke my WP 1.5.2 installs in some way that I wasn’t able to figure out.
Does anyone else have any ideas about how to combine three WordPress databases into one?

In reply to: How to merge three different wordpress blogsI’m in the position of wanting to do the same thing – merge three different wordpress blogs into one. The total posts are definitely in the hundreds, if not thousands. Not being a mySQL goddess, I’m beginning to despair of finding a way to do this.
