Apologies, I have managed to sort the problem myself! I am now stuck with the widgets on the side of the page. I am trying to increase the gap between the widget title and the links within the box.

Apologies but I do not know enough to sort it from your help. If I open the link that you have kindly provided, I get the css file opened in notepad. I presume if I change it and save it in notepad, I then need to somehow upload the saved file? Do I need to amend the css from inside my WP admin panel?

Thanks very much for the help with the title, I can now remove it if I want to.

I am still struggling to remove the comments box at the bottom of each page though. I want to remove the entire section so that people cannot comment. I have opened up the screen options section and unticked the comments box but that does not seem to remove the box. Any suggestions would be a massive help.
