In reply to: Comment Blacklist Did Not WorkI had that problem once and the only way I was able to fix it was by using a plugin called WP-Spam. Luckily, it doesn’t happen often.

In reply to: Posting to a PageHi, when you say profile pictures, do you mean avatars? If so, go into your WP Dashboard and select the “discussion or comments” setting and you can enable them.
In terms of getting posts to their rightful pages, you may need to be a little more specific. Generally, the home page of your blog is the main page where your posts go, and then pages are created where you have more static information. Where are you wanting your posts to go?

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: help with setting upOn my website host, in my Cpanel and Fantastico, it shows my current WordPress installations. It may be that remnants from an old WordPress install is still in your root. I would check and see if there is a “remove WordPress” link and then try to re-install.

In reply to: login button is gone!First, in case you need the link for logging back into your blog, you can watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTV2tFKvtjQNow, to answer your question, there are themes out there that will sometimes auto remove your Admin login link on your WordPress Blog or you may have accidentally unchecked a box in the settings to make that happen.
Try looking at your theme settings for a box that may say something about the admin link. For example, in the theme that I am using, there is a box that says “show admin link in footer” that would make it show up but this could vary by theme.

In reply to: Homepage policy: How to regulate what shows on your homepageI highly recommend a plugin called WP HIDE POST. I use this all the time. You can prevent certain posts from showing up on certain pages. It’s great.

In reply to: Inserting Images into Text WidgetYou just need a little code to insert an image to a text widget.
1. Create a text widget and give it a title
2. copy and past this text into the widget area:
<a
href=”https://www.yourwebsitelink.com”>
<img src=”https://www.linktoyourimage.com/yourimage.png”class=”aligncenter” >3. Change the 2 links above. The first one is the link you want the image to go to when clicked and the second link is the path to where your image is online.
