In reply to: W3 Total Cache and WordPress.com Stats makes Firefox crash? Can someone make it clear for us?
I have the same impression as OzPoker had, once I activated W3 Total Cache my WordPress.com Stats (the analytics plugin for self hosted WP) started showing a lot less visits. When the day starts it shows zero visits for a while, but there are new comments – meaning that there are new visits.I didn’t choose the analytics files to be minified, and I wouldn’t mind loosing some stats if I gain a lot on the other end (performance).
WP 3.0.1
WP.com stats is the latest version
W3 Total Cache is the “develoment” versionForum: Plugins
In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Help WizzardThanks Frederick,
I updated the plugin and everything works just fine. I’ll give it some days to confirm it’s faster and using less resources, but so far so good.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Help WizzardI have the same error… is the development version safe enough to a production site?
And what should be the procedure?
Deactivate and delete current version, upload, activate and config new version? Or can I just overwrite it?BTW, I’m running WP 3.0.1 and latest version of the plugin.

In reply to: Auto updated to 3.0.1 (pt-br) and got alpha 3.1Would someone please give us some advice? The brazilian staff is giving us zero support on this, no official statement, no solution, nothing.
There are people like me with an alpha version on production sites, because we believe in the “Automatically update to 3.0.1” button.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Auto updated to 3.0.1 (pt-br) and got alpha 3.1People are complaining in the PT-BR (brazilian) forum, looks like it happened to a lot of users.
We are still running 3.1 alpha, please give instructions on how to safely install 3.0.1 in our language.

In reply to: Site hackedSome new information, while I wait for the host to answer:
– I installed a fresh WP (3.0) on another domain, then restored the DB backup I just made then imported the WP backup and asked the importer to download all attachments.
– To this new install I uploaded my theme directory and activated current themeThe spam links do not appear to be there.
So I believe the code is not on DB nor theme files. It must be on WP files, am I right? Thinking so, I updated WP on the main site (to 3.0 – was using 2.9.2 before), but the spam links are still there.

In reply to: Site hackedNo, not really. (sorry)
I looked at my folders trying to identify uploaded files, checked the .htaccess for weird lines, checked the dates of last modifications of my files…
The last link you mention seems to be the best, but only to those who can deal with those linux codes. I’m just a regular blogger!
If I had the backup it would be easier, just delete and restore. But that’s not an option ATM. (for the next time it will!)
