Hi, Thanks for the detailed explanation. I can see that there are no locked IPs, and I can also see my IP.
But if there are IPs that are blocked, is there a way to unblock them?Hi, I’m having the same problem with my site. The weird thing is that the “Enable brute force attack prevention” isn’t checked at all! It’s disabled. Can you explain how it is that I still get redirected to localhost even in this situation?
And a second question – where can I find cogs with info about the blocked IP?

In reply to: [Duplicate Page] Conflict with ACFThank you for your reply. The reason there isn’t any post or page duplication is because the problem isn’t with the duplication of a post or page. The problem is that when the Post Duplication plugin is active, we get a bug in the use of ACF.
But I have to do some further checks, since this happens only in some of our sites, and in others the two plugins work correctly even when both are activated.
I’ll update when I have a more concrete understandingForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Duplicate Page] Conflict with ACFOn one of our sites we configured a field to have location rule of post-format equals to link.
Up until a couple of weeks ago it worked so that when the editor clicked the radio button indicating a link, the field would automatically appear. But then it changed, and now the editor has to save the post after changing its format to a link, and only then does the field appear.
Here is a link to a screen cast that shows the bug.Thank you

In reply to: How to hide embedded PDF sidebarThanks. I assume our site is closed to IPs not in our country. Here is a screenshot
Thank you, but still the same error.
I made sure that the cookie based brute force was disabled, and I changed the IP address detection from remote to current, but still after upgrade the site returns 504
Thank you for that. I downloaded and installed every version until 5.1.0 and all went well. When I installed version 5.1.1 I got the issue that I opened this ticket about.
Does that help you maybe pinpoint the cause of the problem? What difference between 5.1.0 and 5.1.1 could cause the site not to respond?
Thank you
I upgraded using the method you suggested, but the issue still happens.
The log file is still empty, so it could be that the nginx error wasn’t related to the upgrade, but we still have an unavailable site ??
Is it possible to get previous versions of the plugin and try to install them, to see which version is the one causing the problem?

Thank you for quick reply.
Renaming the plugin directory didn’t help, but I uploaded the directory with the 4.4.12 version, and since we’re using kubernetes I rebuilt the container and the site is up now.
I agree that the error looks like a hosting problem, but it only occurs after upgrading the plugin. Now after returning to the 4.4.12 version both error logs are empty, so I do think the error is related to the plugin upgrade.
Any more ideas what could be causing the problem?
Hi,
Thank you for your speedy reply. Unfortunately, the problem still persists. Following are my answers to your suggestions:
- We have version 4.4.12 installed now
- Thanks for the path. error-.log is empty, but makers-error.log has the following recurring message:
2022/12/20 12:52:32 [error] 19#19: *46 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while reading response header from upstream, client: 100.2.0.111, server: makers-test.ort.org.il, request: “GET / HTTP/1.1”, upstream: “fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000”, host: “makers-test.ort.org.il”, referrer: “https://makers-test.ort.org.il/” - I couldn’t find a .user.ini file in the plugin directory or in the WordPress root folder
- Couldn’t find that text in wp-config.php
- We have nginx, so there is no .htaccess
Hi,
I contacted our hosting provider and they added the IP addresses. However, some of those IPs belong to countries that the hosting provider blocks.
What does that mean regarding the Jetpack functionality? Can Jetpack function with partly allowed IP addresses?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] wpcf7_validate_text* hook doesn’t work?@takayukister I’ve searched the cf7 plugin codebase and haven’t found those filters. In previous versions those filters were in
\contact-form-7\modules\textarea.php
and\contact-form-7\modules\text.php
.Maybe if you could tell me where these filters are in this version, I could try to debug the issue myself.

If the mechanism still works, what could be the cause of it not working in our staging site?
