Thanks @bruberries, I’ll share with your support team.
I did as you suggested. I had to wait until late to do this it I wouldn’t disrupt traffic, but now that it’s done the images are back, so you are absolutely right.
I guess it was bad timing that the https security kicked in at the same time I used your plugin, even though it was initiated a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for your help, and sorry if I caused you trouble,I just tried turning on “organize files by month” but it doesn’t fix the problem. Is there something, anything else I can do to restore the thumbnail connections to images in Add Media? I guess you don’t understand that I turned off the “organize files by month” setting 3 years ago, and that was the setting when I installed your plugin.I don’t like hunting for files in hundreds of folders but the list in Uploads is getting long, so I tried your plugin to make it easier to work with images, now I’m stuck.
FTP shows all the files are in Uploads, but apparently the plugin has reset the database such that it thinks they’re all in the 2015>08 folder. Is there a way to undo that reset?
Regardless of whether you can or cannot suggest a way for me to fix my problem, you really should put a serious warning that your plugin REQUIRES that “organize files by month” be turned on. Unless this can be fixed, it has basically hosed a 3 year old website for our organization.
I tried Save Options on each section in Theme Options but no improvement. The wrappers for Calendar and Upcoming Events widget are still text-only, as is the wrapper information for each displayed event, while the event image and description appear fairly normal. However, when I mouse-over any of the displayed events they disappear one-by-one as I mouse-over them.

In reply to: [Emails & Newsletters with Jackmail] Text tools are wackyI’ve found that by first setting the default text size and spacing, then making a one point change in spacing with Apply to All checked will resize everything. Not a real solution if I want differences throughout, but it works if the same look throughout is acceptable.
It would be better if this got fixed properly.

In reply to: [Emails & Newsletters with Jackmail] Control just about everythingI’ll soon be putting together another newsletter for October, so I’ll have a chance to see what improvements all my suggestions have led to. I’m looking forward to it.
I was able to clone a website by first moving high volume Uploads subdirectories out of the build path. That gave me a 465 Mb WP Migration file that worked as advertised (though a bit slow) to clone the site. I then copied the high volume subdirectories to their proper locations in the new website.
So, yes the plugin works, but it takes some fooling around with File Manager beforehand to get the Export file small enough to work. That is a real problem for large websites, websites with multiple backup files in their Uploads subdirectory, or older websites that have accumulated a lot of image files.
I’m sorry to see you blaming the messenger. When I ran Duplicator on the same site it highlighted as large files an external subdirectory and an internal backups subdirectory. When I excluded those directories from the Duuplicator build I ended up with a 571 Mb package that I was able to use to clone the website into an external subdirectory.
If you would give users the option to control the files that go into the build, other than the generic “advanced” it would actually improve your plugin.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Using Featured Image distorts Event postWe had to redo that event, removing the FI, because it is a current event. I just created a new Demonstration Event (for 2 years ago) that shows the problem clearly.
https://iafi.org/event/problem-demonstration-not-an-actual-event/Your tech, Sunny Lal, suggested this problem is in the theme we are using (Weaver II Pro). That may be the case, but it is something that has just recently become a problem since your last update, so something in your plugin is likely the cause. We will avoid using an FI for Events, so it is just a minor inconvenience for us. But for you it could be a harbinger of a significant problem, especially if it affects more than just our theme. Treat it as you wish… it’s your reputation on the line.

In reply to: [Emails & Newsletters with Jackmail] Autosave is too frequentYes, being able to change the frequency would be a good idea. Auto-save is good, but not when it disrupts the workflow too much.
Maybe I’m mistaken, but:
1) I don’t see a way to include files already in the Media Library in a NextGen Gallery. I have been reloading files that are already in my Media Library to get them into a NextGen Gallery, but I’d rather be able to add them directly from the existing Media Library. This would save time and storage.
2) On a similar note, I’d like to have the images that are already in NextGen Galleries show up in the Media Library list without having to go to the separate NextGen link. There is already enough searching through Media files without having to separately go through NextGen files. It would be easier if both were displayed at the same time.I realize this may not be possible, but I thought it would be worth making the suggestion.

In reply to: facebook auto publishI especially like that I can choose to post any type of content from our website to FB. I had been using JetPack’s Publicize function but it only handles posts, and it was pretty flakey for some websites, only posting the site title and icon under the article title. Facebook Autopublish has worked well on all of the websites I’ve installed it on.

In reply to: Inline table editor obscures table cells – can it be disabled?Bob,
That’s enticing, but it doesn’t tell me much about the option you’re alluding to. What is the 21st century option? I’m willing to learn, but that’s not quite enough of a hint for me. Can you share a bit more detail?
Thanks
Thanks, I look forward to seeing this annoyance fixed.
