In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality? The header was still there, but the “Instances” in Elementor had been deleted. I added them in again and the headers all came back.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality? Thanks for letting the official people know about this! I just deleted the WooCommerce folder from my cPanel. When I checked my WordPress dashboard, my MailPoet plugin had de-activated and my header (built with Elementor) is now very wonky. This makes me suspect WooCommerce had gotten into the header too.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality?Thank you for looking at this and for your suggestions. Yesterday or the day before I cleared the cache on Cloudflare and just now on the hosting service. I had already cleared my browser cache.
I don’t see how the cache would create an error that misclassified a post as part of a WooCommerce store. I switched my setting in WooCommerce to Live for the whole site yesterday, because I need that post to be visible. I think I will delete WooCommerce, because I can’t see how to prevent this happening again.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality?I tried that, but it wasn’t helpful. It takes me to the visibility menu for WooCommerce that offers to hide only the store or the whole website. I know that if I make the whole site Live, including WooCommerce, the post shows up again, but so does my rough store.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality? Thanks, Luigi,
That’s the option I chose when I discovered the blocked page. I wondered if WooCommerce had decided that any page with a shopping guide was part of the store.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How can I completely disable “Site visibility” functionality? How does the “coming soon” work? Does WooCommerce hide pages or posts that contain the word “shopping”? I’m asking because I have a post with book recommendations called “shopping guides” https://laureldecher.com/shopping-for-kids-books-ages-9-to-12/ and noticed that it wasn’t displaying when I had the WooCommerce visibility set to “coming soon”.
I changed WooCommerce to “live” but I would rather not have the rough shop showing until I decide what to do with it, but I don’t want to hide my post.
I uninstalled WooCommerce and then realized that it leaves data behind, so I re-installed it. Now I’ve reset it to “coming soon” to see if I can figure this out.
Advice would be very welcome.
