I have had to go to another plugin for the time being. I am hoping this is corrected soon.

I am having the same problem. Brand new installation of Better WP Security 3.5.6 and WordPress 3.6. Pressing the manual backup button takes me to a white screen and nothing happens.

Well, I deactivated the plugin to try another and when I reactivated it, everything seems to be working.

I just updated to 1.9.8 and the on/off button in the footer is still not working.
