  • I have the same issue (version 3.4.3) – not only is it the old-style layout (with fewer capabilities) but I cannot edit any of the forms nor any of the email/submission options.

    The plug-in is working fine on my other sites, and turning off all other plug-ins to check for incompatibilities has no affect whatsoever.

    I have over 30 different forms on this site so no way do I want to have to rewrite them all in a different plug-in. So….HELP!

    Thanks for getting back to me to quickly.

    Yes, latest update. I did as you suggested – deleted the plugin directly in the file manager which did allow me back into the WordPress dashboard (thankfully!).

    I downloaded a fresh, new copy of the BackWPup plugin and uploaded it via the WordPress ‘install plugin’ function.

    The site is now online again, but every page has a bunch of code littering the top and making the entire site look very unappealing and half-built (see: https://www.lesserian.co.uk ).

    The error message on every page of the site now says:

    Notice: add_shortcode was called incorrectly. Invalid shortcode name: . Do not use spaces or reserved characters: & / < > [ ] = Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 4.4.0.) in /var/www/web/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4161 Notice: The called constructor method for WP_Widget in Whistles_Widget is deprecated since version 4.3.0! Use
    __construct()
    instead. in /var/www/web/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3916 Notice: Undefined property: EasyColumns::$use_custom in /var/www/web/wp-content/plugins/easy-columns/easy-columns.php on line 233

    Any clues as to what I can try next?

    I am having the same problem. Our website is entirely offline, only showing the following message; can’t even access the WordPress Dashboard.

    Warning: require_once(/var/www/web/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/inc/class-system-requirements.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/web/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/backwpup.php on line 562 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/web/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/inc/class-system-requirements.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php’) in /var/www/web/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/backwpup.php on line 562

    You recommend above going directly to the file manager on the server and manually removing the backwpup folder. I am nervous about doing so in case it further impacts the site and compounds a problem which is already causing mild panic (!) and loss of business revenue.
    Please help!!
