In reply to: Database errorSo rename the original plug in file to re-upload into then?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Database errorThank you. I have renamed the folder and can now access the website.
Of course it says that there are no plug ins-how can I re-introduce them one by one? Would it be a case of creating a new plug-ins folder and adding them one by one to that?
A little worried about making things worse so greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.

In reply to: [Download Monitor] FTPI have filezilla and komodo edit. To try and use it with your plug in I created a new directory under Download Monitor and put in the files that I want to become downloads in there. I then came onto wordpress and manually uploaded the url of the file within the new directory i.e
“ftp://[email protected]/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/Datasheets/Targa%2037%20Boat%20Trailer.pdf”It came up with “You do not have the permission to view this file” can you tell me what I did wrong?

In reply to: unable to access log in page via FirefoxThank you for having a look!
haha-if there is anything that I have learned during this process-it is exactly that! Lucky that this is just an aspect of my job with plenty more to do as i would go crazy! Although learning as i go does have its perks.
maybe the fox has just got in from partying all weekend! Definitely PM here. Stop out.

In reply to: unable to access log in page via FirefoxI did do that, I der-activated them one by one and it still did not work.
I just de-activated them in bulk and it worked-the strange thing is that I activated them again individually and it still seems to work now. Could you have a look and see if it still does at your end? maybe you got “are you human” from my security plug-ins as you were logging on from a new place. I was literally getting a blank page.

In reply to: unable to access log in page via Firefoxdidn’t work-any idea what could be causing it? I’ve looked through the forums but anybody else thats had this problem seems to have been years ago and not much seems to be relevant to me.

In reply to: unable to access log in page via FirefoxSo odd, I’m not even getting an error message. It just perpetually tries to load and then the bottom tab comes up with “www.example.com read” and there is just a white page.
