In reply to: [Pinnacle] Authorbox change name to about the authorIf you have a look at the author box here https://www.travelersuniverse.com/how-to-become-a-successful-freelancer you will see first it says in bold ‘Laura’ and then the bio starts with ‘Laura is the founder of Travelers Universe…’. I’m talking about replacing ‘Laura’ (the first occurrence) with ‘About the Author’ so it has more logic and not repeat the name twice.

In reply to: [Adaptive Images for WordPress] Losslessly compression for small imagesThe first image in this article is as good an example as any – https://www.travelersuniverse.com/how-to-become-a-successful-freelancer
In gtmetrix I get the following message:
https://www.travelersuniverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/7-Habits-of-Highly-Successful-Freelancers.jpg is resized in HTML or CSS from 1024x768 to 552x414. Serving a scaled image could save 50.5KiB (70% reduction).

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Authorbox change name to about the authorChanging the display name would change it in the comments section as well, wouldn’t it?
I actually want to replace the name in the author box with a simple text that says ‘About the Author’ (no link).

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Change orange tab colorOh, thanks! I thought it didn’t get through since I didn’t get any message that it was sent or in moderation. Sorry! ??

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Change orange tab colorHi Hannah,
I don’t think it’s the primary color. But if you scroll down all the way to the comments section here for example – https://www.travelersuniverse.com/solo-female-travel-tips – you will see the orange ‘submit comment’ button that came with the theme. I want to make this button the same color as my logo. Thanks!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Pinnacle] Remove emojiThanks!
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Pinnacle] Remove emojiIs this a WordPress functionality? I thought it came with the theme. Anyways, isn’t there another way to do it rather than installing yet another plugin? Thanks!

In reply to: [Adaptive Images for WordPress] Losslessly compression for small imagesCool! Then I must be doing something wrong.
I have the HiDPI checked. In the resolutions field, I have this: 1024, 640, 480, 320.
I upload post images at 1600px so on the retina they would show nicely at 800px (the size of my template). All images have the width=”800″ attribute.
Yet, the gtmetrix often gives me a 0 for ‘Serve scaled images’ because it says ‘image is resized in HTML or CSS from 1024×683 to 552×368.’
If the screen they test the page on is not a retina screen, then there should be no resizing done because the plugin should serve the image @1x, correct?
And why 1024×683 to start with?
I would appreciate if you could shed some light on this because it puzzles me. Thanks!

In reply to: [Pinnacle] Author box image no gravatarSure! In lib/authorbox.php I changed this line of code
<?php echo get_avatar( get_the_author_meta('ID'), 80 ); ?>
with this<img src="https://www.path/.../imagename.jpg" width="80" height="80" >
. Not sure it’s the most elegant solution, but it works.
