In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Corrupt password after importHi Javier,
In due time. Personally I do not expect I will be using the plugin for the next few weeks.
But I will suggest, that you do make one quick update asap. to th eplugin – just making a note/warning in the plugin itself, that Passwords will be changed if … so and so….
Then other users hopefully wont get into the same unfortunate situation as I did, corrupting hundreds of passwords; I’m still very “popular” ??Thanks for your support and commitment ??

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Corrupt password after importHi Javier,
It is very important that it is clearly stated that passwords can be re-generated unless you do so and so xxxxx…..
Regarding importing user meta there are 3 situations to consider (maybe more?)
1) Generating new users by import of details.
2) Updating users.
3) A combination of 1+2.
(In my case no. 2 was the task for your plugin)So, your proposal sounds like the right approach ??
1) Option for creating passwords for new users being imported.
2) Updating users: do NOT touch the password. You could add an option here to generate new passwords, but that will have to be very distinct marked – BIG tick mark! with explanations/WARNING! on import start button ??You are on the right track ??

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Corrupt password after importHi Javier,
I understand what your saying, but I did NOT include any password column in the import; I “just” imported from a CSV including “nickname”, “email” and other 5 user fields. And I certainly did not expect the import to corrupt all the user passwords as it was not included in the import.
So reading between the lines – are you saying that the CSV-file also MUST included a column named “Password” or “user_pass” in order for the import not to corrupt the passwords??
That is a very important point. Or…??BR Lars

In reply to: [Contact Form DB] Preload CF7-form with data from CFDBHello Michael,
That was short ??
Can you somehow give a short walk through of what is needed to fetch these data from the “old” CF7 forms, stored in CFDB? Then I’ll give it a shot of working my way through a not so easy solution ??I tried to create a shortcode in which the user could type the unique ID and then it would return a table with 1 line of the missing data. But, unless I predefine the shortcode to search for “2345” then it just returns all data.
How do you specify a call to the shortcode for a specific search? A search box for just that key?Specifying and using the [cfdb-table…] and [cfdb-datatable…] shortcodes I get a full table with all the entries. I can add an argument for the first xxx lines of the entries. But, how do I specify the table to be paginated – like 50 lines per page?
Thanks ??

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Corrupt password after importHello Javier,
Good to hear from you ??
The password used is the “standard” WP-password ( I actually thought that was MD5?). The users enters their own password (min 8 chars in a mix of 4 different types – azAZ09#¤…).
But, the password was NOT part of the import.
The 2 first column were the Nickname and email as the instructions says, and the following were some custom fields.
The import was merely an update of existing users with respect to these custom fields. Thanks for your support.

In reply to: [Import and export users and customers] Corrupt password after importHello Alberto and Javier,
Can you please reply to this support question?
The described corruption of passwords is very annoying to any site and should be addressed by the authors, in order for other users to avoid the same issue and related cumbersome clean-up.Looking forward.

Hello Javier,
Thanks for feedback.
I have searched the user meta with phpMyAdmin, but I can’t find the relevant labels and related data – but all the same they appear in “Extra profile” when the plugin is activated…?? Please advise.

In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Calendar OverviewHi Nikola,
I wanted to hear how the proposed Frontend codes are coming along? In particular some kind of an “Overview” of appointments – and secondly the ability for a calendar admin-individual to edit the bookings/appointments from the frontend?
Looking forward.
Have a fine day ??
Best regards
LarsGood afternoon,
I am experiencing the same “Extra profile” fields after an import.
I understand they will “disappear” if you deactivate the plugin, but
1) where are these fields and the data stored?
2) any means of deleting them? Thanks for providing this very handy plugin ??

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] User field sizeHello again ??
Anybody have a clue for the field lenght/size issue for CF7 – is there a limit or any other constraints?
I’m kind of stuck with the long user_meta_keys as they already holds data from a lot of users.Considering another apporach – but, any idea’s of how to safely
1) Create new user_fields with shorter “keys” (but what is “short enough?).
2) Copy existing data to the new fields.
3) Clean up; delete old user_fields and related data.I’m very unfamiliar with touching the SQL database – I just know I can mess things up pretty badly and basically close down a live site?!
Best solution would be to be able to work with “long” keys/labels (32-48-64 chars) in CF7.
Looking forward.

In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Calendar OverviewHi Nikola,
Thanks for feedback.
Basically it would be nice to have all 3 (creating / editing / deleting ), but for a start “just” an overview of booked appointments per day/week/month would be very convenient.
2nd step the possibility to move appointments from pending to approved.
3rd step – the full package ??Best regards
LarsThanks.
That was what I was afraid of…..I’ll give the coding a go.
Is there some examples of how to twist this – like for the [events_calendar] you can parse the categories; exactly the same thing I would love to have for the [events_form]I could envision other users would benefit from the same “feature” for this very nice plugin.
Thanks again for your prompt responses ??
