Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardWPyogi – I just got off the phone with the hosting site.
For some reason, when the initial update happened, the location of the database was changed to “******” instead of the actual location of the database. He manually changed this everything is running fine. He suggested that I report this to WordPress as this could be an issue that others might be having.
I have the ability to make my database secure and the WordPress installer might not have been able to read it. If I go into the files and highlight my database, a small window comes up with “******” he believes this could have some connection.

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardSandrinepeli – the other forum is one about a different type of error message. I am not having that issue. Also, I had my memory adjust up a few months ago.

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardWPyogi, I am working with both SilvewrOrchid and Noteworthy. I changed both of them to OLD and nothing appeared on my site. I then went to sign in through the admin php, and the same issue happened as before. When I hit the button to update, everything disappeared by the WordPress logo and nothing processed.
BTW – twentytwelve is in the directoryForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardIs there anyone who can figure out a resolution before I lose my job?

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardAddendum. I read online that you can force WP to return to the defaul template by renaming the current template (in my caswe templates because I have to templates running) to -old. That did not work.

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardI am still having the same issue after renaming my plugins directory to plugins-old. Can someone explain to me how to manually change my theme to TwentyTwelve?

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardThanks, Jan, but that did not work. I still have the same problem. I cannot access my dashboard or upgrade the database.

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardAs per my original post, I am not technically savvy with the back end of the program. I do not have any clue as to how to deactivate plugins or change the theme from the file manager section. I can do that from the dashboard – but as you know, I can’t get into the dashboard.
Could you explain how to deactivate the plugins and change the theme from the file management system?

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardKrishna, I have an “upgrage.php” what am I supposed to do now?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardYes, Krishna, I get that message. When I click on the button, the message disappears again and only the WordPress logo is left with nothing else happening. Signing in under the .php address did nothing to fix or change the problem.

In reply to: Cannot Access DashboardOnce I sign in, the exact same message comes up on the screen. Once I click on the button, the same issue happens.
