In reply to: Index folder instead of homeWouldn’t it be better if I actually learn how to do it?
Anyway, I installed WP again, this time I’m completely sure that everything is installed in root directory, and nothing changed.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Index folder instead of homeBut all the files were in the root directory ?? Am I missing something?
Right now I’ve unistalled WordPress, so I can install it again, is it ok? Can you help me?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Index folder instead of homeI’ve just noticed a weird thing (maybe it’s completely normal but I’ve never noticed before): every wp- file, aside from index.php and wp-config have been modified for the last time long before I installed WP on my domain. Is that normal?
Alright, I will! Thank you!
I think so, I clicked around pretty much on every button I could find to see if I could find that table.. ??
phpMyAdmin.. I guess?
I’m very bad at this!
I went to cPanel and through there I got to phpMyAdmin. There I found a drop-down menu titles “tables”, and when I click on it, the only voice in the menu is “no tables”.I went to do it, but following the instruction of the page you linked me, I got stuck up in the first step, since there is no table wp_options.
I don’t know if this is helpful, but I managed to find out what the .htaccess file looked like before it was deleted, and it was like that:
# BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress
I recognize that piece of html, it’s the one of the Under Construction plugin. In order to make this plugin appear the way you want to, you have to write just a basic piece of html, like you normally would when you write a new article in the WP editor, which is then deleted (usually) when you turn down the plugin. But I don’t know where that piece of html is stored, since it should be gone when I deleted the plugin.
And, ehm.. I don’t have a database backup, please don’t hate me ??
The only one is something called Licenza, which apparently is a translation of the GNU General Public License in Italian, and that’s it.
Sure!
I tried right now, with my text editor (which is Kate, I’m using Ubuntu) it still looks empty. Dimension is 0 bytes and when I open it’s a blank page. The default file manager of my host, it’s just called “File manager” ??
It appears to be empty. The file is there, when I open it it just says “empty”.

In reply to: [underConstruction] Coming soon is still showing on the blog page onlyI have a similar problem, I deleted the plugin but the only page I get is the under construction page. The weird thing is, if I log out from WP and try to load my blog from my computer, everything’s fine, if I load it from another computer, I get the construction page.

In reply to: [underConstruction] Broken on WP 3.5.1I have the opposite problem!
I had this plugin perfectly working and it was ON when I upgraded WP, and now I wanted to make my site (rclv.it) visible again.. and nothing happens. I still get the under construction page! I tried to disabled the plugin but nothing changed, so I deleted it, but still nothing. I’m online – Jetpack even counts the views I get – but the only page visible is the under construction page. What can I do??
