If the log (MC4WP > Other) is showing successfully subscribed it means the email is really sent to Mailchimp, and form there it’s out of our hands and the email should really be in Mailchimp.

Is that the log you’re looking at, or are you looking at another log where you see successful (eg in Cf7)

Just out of curiosity, why are you using CF7 for the second form instead of showing a normal MC4WP form?

Are you using the custom integration at all?
If not, you could turn off this integration method under MC4WP > Integrations.

If you are using it, can you share a link to where you use it so i can have a look at that form?

    Thanks!

First create the interest group in your Mailchimp.com account under Audience > Settings.

Then in your WordPress admin go to MC4WP > Mailchimp and click “Renew Mailchimp lists” to pull in the latest changes you made.

Now go to MC4WP > Form > Fields, and click the name of the interest group above the form builder to insert that into the form, it will show you some options on how to add it (eg checkboxes or drop down etc).

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    It’s possible if you use this code snippet:;
    https://github.com/ibericode/mailchimp-for-wordpress/blob/main/sample-code-snippets/integrations/contact-form-7/different-tag.php

If you use our Premium add-on you can use the interface to make multiple MC4WP forms and set the tags right from the interface without custom code.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Great to hear it’s working properly.

The Premium add-on has an email notification and a reporting feature build in.
You can check the prices here: https://www.mc4wp.com/pricing/

    Thanks!

This is the forum for MC4WP, a WordPress plugin to create a Mailchimp sign up form on your website. We are not the Mailchimp company.

What do you see in the log on MC4WP > Other related to your test sign up?
Is double opt in turned on or off under MC4WP > Form > Settings?

Again let me clarify again we do not provide the popup on your site, that is another plugin.
But the form inside the popup is ours.

The form should work, and the subscriber should end up in your Mailchimp audience (and be subscribed).

What you need the premium add-on for is receiving an email notification for each subscriber.

If subscribers do not end up in the Mailchimp audience after using the MC4WP form, please go to MCc4WP > Other and set it to “log everything”. Then test the form again and let me know what shows up in the log after your test. Thanks!

The subscribers email is added to the Mailchimp audience. With our Premium add-on you can also set up a notification that is sent to your website admin (or any email you configure) whenever the form is submitted.

You can also set up periodic new subscriber reports in Mailchimp, but those may only work if you set double opt-in to Yes under MC4WP > Form > Settings, as without double opt-in the new subscriber is counted as “imported” instead off “subscribed”.

Note that the MC4WP plugin just makes the forms, not the popups, so you created those with another plugin. It’s using the CSS class “adp-popup” maybe that tells you what plugin you used for that?

By the way, we also offer a plugin to make popups that works very well with the MC4WP plugin, it’s called Boxzilla and you can find the free version in the WordPress plugin repository under Plugins > Add new (use the search).

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

The MC4WP Premium add-on does have a feature to keep users in WordPress in sync with subscribers in Mailchimp. Note that the UserSync feature will NOT subscribe any new users it only keeps user fields in sync for existing subscribers. The sync can work both ways (from Mailchimp for WordPress and from WordPress to Mailchimp)

To subscribe any new WordPress users you can use the WordPress user registration integration that is also available in the free plugin under MC4WP > Integrations.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Did you add this field with the button(s) above the form code builder in the plugin, or did you copy it from somewhere else?

If you got it from somewhere else, please use the button above the form to insert it.
If the field is not there yet in the form builder buttons, go to MC4P > Mailchimp and click “Renew Mailchimp Lists”.

If the field is added via the button above the form builder and it’s (still) not working, it might have to do with the formatting of the number. Mailchimp has pretty strict validation on some fields, so if you use a specific field type in Mailchimp (such as mobile number) it may require a specific format, such as a full international number with country code.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Hi @stelpavlou,

I’ve taken a look at the free plugin page and found the text “Send your WooCommerce orders to Mailchimp so you can see exactly what each subscriber purchased and how much revenue your email campaigns are generating.”. That should of course not be written like that as that is indeed a Premium feature. We will update this text upon the next plugin update. Thank you for the feedback!

There is also a FAQ item “How to connect my WooCommerce store with Mailchimp?” but that does clearly state it’s a Premium feature when you click the link.

If there was any other texts on our free plugin page or elsewhere that made you feel deceived I’d love to get your feedback on that as I can assure you it is unintentional and we would like to update it to make it more clear where that may be needed.

    Thanks again!

AJAX form submission (submitting the form without page reload) is and has always been a Premium feature. If it worked in the free version for you, that means some third party plugin or theme captured the form submission and processed it for you, outside of our plugin.

Normally the page should jump to the place where the form is after it reloads, but if your theme is dynamically adding stuff to the page after the page load this can be tricky.

You can also set a “redirect on success”‘ url in the form settings if you want to load a separate page for that.

    Kind regards,

    It’s because they unsubscribed.

I just tested the form and didn’t get any error, it redirected to the homepage.

Can you set the log on MC4WP > Other to “log everything” (instead of only errors) and then try again, do you see anything at all in the log?

Also please try with a different email address to see if that is related.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!
