In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] How to change preheader text for RSS emailsPlease note we are not affiliated with MailChimp.com. We are a different company “ibericode” that develops plugins such as “MailChimp for WordPress“. I’m sorry to tell you I am not able to help you with this question as it is not related to our plugin. My advice to you is to contact MailChimp.com as they would be the best people to answer any query related to your MailChimp.com account.
You can contact MailChimp.com through https://mailchimp.com/contact/support/
I hope that helps. If you have any queries specific to our plugin please let us know!
Great, thanks for sharing.
Are both sites using the same theme?
Maybe the theme has some custom code targeting MC4WP.
Are you able to set up a staging site and test with another theme? As you’re using our Premium add-on, please contact us on support at mc4wp.com for Premium support. Thank you!
Perfect.
I currently don’t have the latest version of Buddypress to test it myself, but looking at the source code I believe the answers to be as follows.- Yes, contact will be updated as the integration is triggered
- No, if the box is not checked the integration will not trigger, nothing will change (email will stay subscribed and tag won’t be removed)
To double check this, you can go to MC4WP > Other, set it to “log everything” and then do a test registration to see what it did in the log.
Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know! Please note that these vulnerabilities can only be exploited by someone who already has full admin rights in your WordPress admin and in the second case admin rights in your WordPress as well as Mailchimp. Nonetheless, the “vulnerability” is fixed in the latest update of the plugin ( version 4.9.17).

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Opt-ins not showingHi,
Our plugin has the option to turn on or off double opt in under MC4WP > Form > Settings.
Double opt-in, while recommended, isn’t actually a requirement for GDPR compliance as far as i know.Kind regards,

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Opt-ins not showingHi,
If it shows “success” in the log on MC4WP > Other (after setting it to “log everything” instead of just errors), it means the email is successfully sent to Mailchimp. From there it’s out of our hands as it’s Mailchimp sending out the opt-in email. Possibly it has to do with the “from” address and your SPF/DKIM settings for that domain, causing the email to go to spam.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] MERGE-TagHi,
First of all, make sure that MC4WP “knows” about the field, you do that by going to MC4WP > Mailchimp, and clicking Renew Mailchimp lists. Then click on the list name to fold it open and look for the merge tag. You can copy the merge tag from there to be sure you have the exact naming of the field correct.
Please use the exact same capital letters for the field name, if that doesn’t work, add mc4wp- in front of the field name.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Update tags on existing subscriberYou can use this code snippet to set a tag per form:

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Subscription not added to mailchimp listYou set the list/audience the form subscribed to under MC4WP > Form > Settings.
But in this case, you’ve added list/audience choice to the form itself, that that will overwrite the setting for the form. So the subscriber should go to whatever list they selected in the form. Is that what is happening on your site?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Subscription not added to mailchimp listNote that the double opt-in setting in your Mailchimp account is ignored, for our forms that setting is in your WordPress admin under MC4WP > Form > Settings. It it turned off there?
When the log shows success, we got confirmation from Mailchimp that the subscriber is received, from there it is out of our hands.
I did notice that sometimes Mailchimp is slow to update totals, so it might be that the subscriber is there and visible in the audience, but the total still shows 0?
Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!
