In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Can’t select Memcached optionThank you for your response. The server already had the memcached php extension running though.
We then did a second wordpress installation + W3 Total Cache plugin, to check if it’s the server or the wordpress that caused it.
Finally we found that the Memcached PHP extention was only installed for PHP 8..
After changing our site’s settings to PHP 8, the memcache option became available ??
For others dealing with this: The host recommended to ask your host to run this command:
dpkg -l | grep memcache
This produces a list
rc php7.4-memcache […] rc php7.4-memcached […] ii php8.0-memcahce […] ii php8.0-memcahced […]
in which rc stands voor removed and ii stands for installed.

In reply to: [Remove Category URL] 404 Sub categoriesSo.. the catogorie problem lies in the combination of.. WordPress 5 + WPML + Yoast?
Redirection has nothing to do with it -> OK
But.. Just to be clear. I still assume it only occurs when the Remove Category URL plugin is active, right?

In reply to: [Remove Category URL] 404 Sub categoriesIf I may be a little more specific / clear and I understand you and the wpml.org thread correctly:
- This fix is temporarily and only lasts until you add another post.
- With ‘Redirection’ plugin you mean the ‘Remove Category URL’ plugin.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast Keyword Snippet is missing fieldHi, I had the same issue, identical blank screen part as @erinsbwp posted, using the latest version of WP, 4.9.8 and latest Yoast 9.2.1
I found out WPML and Yoast clashed: deactivating WPML 4.0.8 solved the issue. That is, I need WPML for a functioning website.. Fortunately, there is a WPML Multilingual CMS plugin update to 4.1.0
This solved it for me. Just my 2?.

In reply to: [Contact Form & SMTP Plugin for WordPress by PirateForms] Very niceYou’re welcome, and thank you for the plugin.
To be more specific: Some CSS could be edited in the usual way, but the spaces between the text fields wouldn’t be fine-tuned, it seemed. I also couldn’t find out a common denominator. On the other hand: You can’t please everyone. This is a simple form and I think it’s best kept simple. Maybe simplify the CSS a bit more too, that’s all.

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationIt’s not a problem for me personally. My English is sufficient ??

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationIt’s fine.
I just wanted to translate the column title. I had no idea it would be this complicated with 200+ strings that have to be peer-reviewed and what not.

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationCan they import all strings on the translation site with one command or string by string?

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationI understand what formal is, but I’ve never seen an option for selecting formal versus casual language in WordPress – as a user nor webdesigner – or anywhere else in software or outside software for that matter.
It seems cumbersome to dedicate a complete, new translation to the formal version of Dutch and another one to Flemish, while so little words – if any – will ever be different.
I don’t mean that Flemish doesn’t deserve it’s own translation, but if I understand correctly, the system demands translators to start from scratch while probably 99,9% will be the same as the nl_NL text.

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationHi again,
I’m new to this type of translating and slightly overwhelmed by the 231 translations that are ‘open’ for three variations of Dutch (what is the difference between Dutch formal and Dutch Nl_nl anyway?) in four files.
I translated quite a few but after an hour I stopped. Will these translations be used or do others need to check them first?

In reply to: [Google AdSense] Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again.@heinzw
I couldn’t agree more. Never got Google Adsense to work, even after so many attemps, wasting hours if not days. There is no way to get in contact with Google. The don’t even answer the phone in the head office in Amsterdam.By the way if you’re looking for info about Jetpack you might want to look at the Jetpack support page.

In reply to: [YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce] LocalizationI’m using YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce with the Dutch localization of WordPress. The Purchased Column is back alright, but the header of the column is in English, while all other columns are translated to Dutch.
For example the columns ‘Orders’ and ‘Ship to’ are translated to ‘Bestelling’ and ‘Bestemming’.
‘Purchased’ used to be translated to ‘Aangeschaft’ in the Dutch localization of WooCommerce version 2.x therefore I would expect YITH Purchased Column for WooCommerce to restore the same column title in Dutch.
It’s not a deal breaker but would be nice to have the title in the localized language ??

In reply to: [Google AdSense] Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again.Same here. I have had an account for years. I use two sites with different languages, themes, content.
Step 1) Both sites show that my account is approved and the site is verified. I can choose the adds on the page and they are shown. There are statistics on adsense.google.com and all seems fine.
Then the next day they are gone again and the plugin looks like step 1 again. Very frustrating that there isn’t even a single Google employee dedicated to helping the ordinary user out.

In reply to: [Invoices for WooCommerce] All invoices with a single click -> printAnother quarter of the year past, so my customer’s bookkeeper asked me again to automate this. I looked further and found out a list of the invoice totals can be made using the WP All Export plugin. (Slightly confusing is that the title in the WP plugin search results is ‘Export WordPress data to XML/CSV’). There’s also a convenient youtube video about how to set it up.
