In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] WYSIWYG not working in Twenty SeventeenI’m having the same problem. Luckily the images “remember” what size I’ve set them to be even thought they don’t appear to be that way in the editor. In other words, when I publish the page, it looks right. Strange!

In reply to: How do I change Password Protected text?Is there an easy way to add something to that “.protected-post-form” thing in the stylesheet to change the password input type from “password” to “text”? I don’t want the letters to be hidden (******) when inputting the password.
Thanks anyone.
I found a great solution: switch to this plugin
https://www.plaintxt.org/experiments/easy-contact/Just finished testing it. Seems to do everything I want (and the math question automatically changes!).

In reply to: Upgraded to WP 2.6 and can’t access wp-admin areaJust updated to FireFox 3.0.1 and then deleted cookies and I don’t have any trouble any more. I don’t quite know why it now works on IE7 also though. Weird coincidence?

In reply to: Upgraded to WP 2.6 and can’t access wp-admin areaI have the same problem and, yes, my blog is on a subdomain. I tried re-uploading all the files as per Otto42’s instructions. But alas, I still can’t log in as admin through the wp-admin page.
It’s broken in FireFox 3.0 and IE7.
But in IE7 at least it remembers that I’m logged in and I can go in by some of these “back doors” that have been mentioned (like clicking on the name “Admin” in a comment).

In reply to: Page Password not workingsarmadhassan’s solution didn’t work for me either.
But here’s some new info:
– I’m on WordPress 2.5.1
– password-protected posts work FINE with IE7
– but, on FIREFOX 3.0, when I enter the correct password, it refreshes the same “enter password to see the post” page without ever displaying the content.Have we heard from anyone at WordPress on this issue yet?

In reply to: PLZ HELP: password-protection doesn't work (no cookie-problem ;) )That solution didn’t work for me. I’ve got a password protected post and when I type in the password in FIREFOX it just loads the same page and asks for the password again so I can’t ever see the content. In IE7 there’s no problem at all. Any ideas?

In reply to: Total Number of Comments Display in DashboardHey yeah! I want that back too. I’m not really interested in doing the work, but this might be a way to do it yourself: https://perishablepress.com/press/2006/08/28/display-total-number-of-posts/

In reply to: Not receiving email notification of new commentsHere’s something interesting. I’ve got 2.5.1 running on my main domain (https://laowaichinese.net) and on a subdomain (https://music.laowaichinese.net). The comments from the subdomain come straight through to my email inbox no problem. They are being sent from wordpress@(the name of the subdomain). But the comments from the main domain are not coming through.
I assumed that those would be coming from wordpress@(the name of the main domain) and so I added that to my email contacts list, just to make sure they didn’t get routed to spam or something. No dice. Still can’t receive comments notifications from the main domain. But isn’t that weird that the subdomain ones are fine?
It makes me think the problem may be with my web host. Might they have different rules governing subdomains and the main domain? Maybe one of the plugins I’m using on my main site (which I don’t have on my sub domain) is blocking it?
Nope. Just tried deactivating all plugins. Still didn’t come through. Why would I receive notifications on the subdomain, but not the main one?

If your problem is anything like this guy’s (as mine was) he’s got the solution: put everything in the right folder.
