Hi Kevin, so sorry for the delayed response and thanks very much for your solution. I have been building a few things and forgot to check for answers on here.

I got around the issue by making duplicates of the products but giving each one a different slug with the relevant /category added. I can then add the products to different category pages and group them into seperate groups. It’s a bit more work but the desired affect can be achieved easily. I will gove your method a try though and see which one I prefer.

On reflection, it seems any issues I have found with my config have been with other plugins, not with your slider. I think close the ticket as you guys have enough work on. I will look at the css on Easy Fancybox regarding the navigation and then perhaps ask them about some java to make the auto slideshow/ swipe possible for phones.

Any recommendations for other lightbox options would still be appreciated if you have any.

Last update: Using Easy Fancybox plugin as per the demo here:https://www.metaslider.com/examples/photography-site/ and the environment described in my second post (above) the images finally started to scroll left and right using the hidden arrows.

Sorry I thought this functionality didn’t work at all, for some reason it took ages to load which seems odd considering the lack of content on my test site.

Anyway it does work but the navigation is hard to use on a phone. I’m sorry you’ve had to read a book to get this far and I thank you for your patience.

It seems I am getting close to something good (thanks to your slider) but I don’t think this Easy Fancybox quite works on a phone. Once again, thanks for your patience and if you know of a lightbox that will not be buggy (like Responsive Lightbox is) and enable good navigation (swipe would be great) and auto slideshow play on a phone I’ll be over the moon.

I don’t ask for much eh : )

I’m back with an update for the problems above. I would love to know if anyone else is experiencing anything similar. Firstly I found the Magnific Popup on the Virtue template was the reason for the extra Lightbox image left behind after one click to close Responsive Lightbox’s Fancybox. Changing the template over to test this solved the issue.

Please note that issue is now resolved. Further testing using all the Responsive Lightbox’s settings suggest to me that the plugin doesn’t work well with Meta Slider. It’s a shame but I found issues with every Responsive Lightbox setting including only one image being displayed repeatedly (not scrolling through the others in the gallery) in the Pretty Photo mode.

I then switched my lightbox plugin to the Easy Fancybox plugin. I now realise this is the lightbox plugin used here: https://www.metaslider.com/examples/photography-site/

To begin with I was pleased to replicate the setup created in the demo above. I was however disappointed to discover there is no way to get the slide show working once the lightbox is activated (in spite of the settings suggesting there is) but realise you can’t always have it all.

After a whole day of testing various slideshow lightbox combos, I have yet to find a clean solution that is responsive and works as it should.

I like your slider very much. (An easy option to change where the arrows are displayed such as outside of the image are would be a nice touch.)

Can you please advice how I can get Metaslider to work properly with a lightbox and be fully responsive? If you can show me a combo that works well I would be happy to purchase premium but this level of testing shows why it is not always wise to buy before you try. I may have to go back to my old Darkroom template but was looking forward to building something fresh.

Just to be clear I would love your sliders – click once into a clean lightbox with clean navigation as well as slideshow and swipe ability on a phone, click and close.

Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.
