Okay, another update.

The good:
I got the search to do what I want.

The unfixed:
AJAX still breaks my formatting.

I can’t seem to be able to alter the theme for the shortcode search bar. No matter what changes I make, the formatting stays the same.

Please help asap.

Okay, so I’ve figured most of my problems out. The pages problem on my filter was due to a slug conflict. The ajax shortcode works now, but it breaks my formatting, and doesn’t filter anything.

Also, I need my search to compare the meta items to include everything in the search in the categories, but filter against the other categories. An example on my page would be to select Phoenix and North Valley, this gives me 8 results, now I want to choose to see all those locations expo/festival and workshops (check both) you can’t, once you click 1, the other gets filtered out, I want to be able to choose multiple meta filters to include all items that have my locations I have selected.

Another thing that I am having a problem with is when I changed the search to AJAX, I get no filtering. I followed the tutorial and when entering in the shortcode:

[mdf_results_by_ajax shortcode=”mdf_custom template=any/my_cars_1 post_type=scitech_event orderby=date order=desc page=1 per_page=5 pagination=tb” animate=1 animate_target=#mdf_results_by_ajax]

It doesn’t function, it shows up as text.
