Can not you deactivate it?
Did you just deactivate this plugin or did you try to deactivate another plugin and did it work?

The plugin has no deactivate action hook added. So I can not even say that it can be a problem.

Try to delete it from FTP.
Go to the /wp-content/plugins folder and delete the /lana-sitemap folder.

You are using a PHP version that does not support DOMDocument or the extension is not installed.

If you have your own server, install DOMDocument.
Installation commands:

If you have a webhosting service, ask the customer service to get you PHP version that supports DOMDocument.

I updated the plugin.

It now includes post_title (with text attr).
How to use:
[lana_download id="1" text="%post_title%"]

And I added text attr to the tinymce shortcode popup.

Settings > Reading > Google News Sitemap > Publication name

The publication name should match the name submitted on the Google News Publisher Center. If you wish to change it, please read Updated publication name.

So set the publication name here. I think this will be the problem.

You can change the download button text. Use the shortcode ‘text’ parameter.
For example: [lana_download text="Filename Download" id="2"]

I’ve been thinking a lot about other solutions. But then I decided that only the easiest button would be lana_download shortcode. Too many options complicate the use of simple users.
Lana Downloads Manager gives URLs, so users can create their own style buttons using HTML and CSS.
But the Post Title is an interesting idea. I think about it.

Action hook before download handle is a great idea. I’ll do this in the next version. I need a few days for this, and then I upload it to svn.

Hi,

I did not have the opportunity to try the News Sitemap for a real news portal in Google Search Console.
I’ve only tested the Default Sitemap in Google Search Console.

News Sitemap validated with:
https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html
“Sitemap is valid Yes”

https://validator.w3.org/
This document was successfully checked as well-formed XML!

So hopefully everything is fine with News Sitemap.
If you have any problem or error message, then I can fix it as fast as I can.

The download link works perfectly. So the Lana Downloads Manager works perfectly. I’ve tested on desktop and mobile too.

The image is incorrectly loaded due to the “a3-lazy-load” plugin.

Your website displays the following image:
https://i1.wp.com/www.diymaven.com/wp-content/plugins/a3-lazy-load/assets/images/lazy_placeholder.gif?zoom=1.25&resize=368%2C283

As you see, because of the “a3-lazy-load” plugin placeholder. This causes the wrong load and the infinite “load” icon.

So it is possible to deactivate the “a3-lazy-load” plugin.

Can you copy the download URL that is in the post?

– If this url is in the post, it must work.

– If the url is different, so it is a different download, then the File URL is incorrect (in Download edit page, File Manager section). Or have not saved the download.
