To be honoust, the author-sitemap is gone now.
I was playing with the wrong parameter.

So unchecking
> XML Sitemap > User sitemap > Disable author/user sitemap

did solve the problem.

Just looking at this … aren’t we mixing up with the author-sitemap.xml.

Sitemap itself is OK but after some time, the message mentioned in this thread is related to the author sitemap. Disabling in Yoast doesn’t work.

For my situation, it doesn’t solve the problem. Something that I also didn’t do is assigning the ‘posts page’ in ‘Static Front Page’. Just did that and assigned it to the FAQ page. But the page https://lemit.be/author-sitemap.xml still exists ?? and will show up as an error in the google webmaster tools.

What I have found is, it has to do with the author-page in WordPress.
When using Yoast, you can disable it:

the “Disable the author archives” box in SEO -> Title and Metas -> Other

But it doesn’t solve it, the page still exists.

I have exactly the same issue. Sitemap (Yoast working fine) but the crawl find this page:

https://lemit.be/author-sitemap.xml

This is somehow a page with all my posts but it is not defined in one of my pages. Look at navigation button 2 at the bottom which also refers to a non existing page.

Is it the theme? Is it yoast?
The page is being generated automatically I suppose. And the xml file does not exist in the ftp.

Any help to investigate this behaviour is strange. I also asked the author of the theme.

Anyone? Filter is also not a solution for only selecting posts of a specific category. Can only be used to change the html output … as far as I can read and understand.

I tried the same with the standard WP themes, like twenty eleven. Also didn’t work.

Is_page works fine.

is_tag or is_category don’t work.

How can I select a specific categories. Do these codes only work with a single post in the widget of page and not for a widget that shows 3 posts? Meaning widget logic does not go through these 3 posts.

If so, which code should I then use to only show the categories I want in the ‘recent post’ widget?

Also looking for the plugin, but then the whole package. Makes me wonder a bit. But also, why wouldn’t you give a seperate account so they can have a look. It’s very common that multiple plugins are not compatible.

Saw a similar respond on the AVH forum … someone who used the group category widget instead of the AVH Category widget. Did I make the same mistake?

To bad, the plugin seemed to be very interesting. Deleted it again.
