I reported yesterday that deactivating Jetpack fixed it. It seems that’s not a reliable or consistent fix!
Today’s post needs photos so I deactivated Jetpack and it didn’t do the trick. Not first try anyway. I tried it several times and eventually Add Media worked. I guess I’ll try clearing history and cache.

I just went back in and redid the deactivate/activate of all plugins. I found my problem lies in Jetpack and got past the issue. Now I have to learn more about Jetpack and what the consequences are of deactivating it.
