I have just carried out a test using Siteground with Mailpoet-3 version 3.6.3. So far, all looks good.
However, I suggest that Mailpoet should re-implement the facility to use cron, perhaps indicating that cron is for advanced users only. I would feel more comfortable using cron.
My test lasted one hour. During this time there were no user accesses to my site. Therefore the statistics below are probably only related to Mailpoet. No posts were made so this does not indicate if extra resources are consumed to cope with a post.
Cpu time usage was 75 ( against a quota of 2,000 cpu seconds allowed per hour).
Account executions were 52 (against a quota of 2,000 executions allowed per hour). As a workaround until Mailpoet3 v3.6.2 is fully fixed – Is it possible to “force install” a previous release/version of MailPoet temporarily? How?
Does anybody know which version/release still works OK on Siteground?
I am sure there must be many others like me who cannot risk upsetting their clients because of future suspension of their site by siteground as a result of this runaway cpu issue.
Using latest release 3.6.2 with Siteground my site was temporarily suspended by Siteground because my cpu was maxed out. The problem is definitely caused by Mailpoet as everything became normal as soon as I deactivated Mailpoet.
Is it possible to reinstate the facility to schedule via Cron. As an experienced developer, I can cope with that easily.
My client will not allow me to reactivate Mailpoet until problem definitely resolved.
It appears that others are experiencing same problem. Unless fixed, I will have to change to use an alternative to Mailpoet (which would be a great pity).

I am using “Visitors to your website” – it is a low volume site.
As a suggestion to the theme authors – siteground provides a regular built-in file-level backup facility (for free) ; is it possible that MailPoet3 is mistaking each file backup process by siteground (of which there are many) for a user access to the site.
WordPress version 4.7.2
BackWPup version 3.3.6
PHP version 5.3.29 (64bit)
MySQL version 5.5.51-38.2Same issue as Jeff Lambert and others since 17 Feb 2017. This was probably when I implemented WordPress 4.7.2 and BackWPup 3.3.6. However, although I had to re-enter the secret key, I havent noticed a need to flip the bucket back to the one I wanted.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails] How to make post titles bold?I use the following css to emphasise post titles. If you can get it to work, you could then experiment to produce exactly the effect you require. I got the css from elsewhere in this forum.
.rpwwt-widget ul li a span.rpwwt-post-title { font-size: 2em; }

In reply to: [Category Post List Widget] Category id is not recognized after Update to 1.2For me this was a complete disaster – breaking my site completely. Grateful thanks to other users advice as above.
I suggest that the author reverts to version 1.1 for now.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existHello Ryan – thanks for the prompt attention.
I installed and tested version 1.5.3 and all is OK
To carry out the test, I dropped the taxonomymeta table and then created and edited a new category – with success.
Thank you very much.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existProblem occurred when I added a new category and tried to edit it. The problem went away if I had one additional empty table (taxonomymeta).
To re-create the problem.
- Manually delete (drop) the table taxonomymeta (I used phpMyadmin).
- Verify that the table definitely does not exist (I used phpMyadmin).
- Add a new category and then try to edit it.
Then (and this is how I discovered the problem before)
My error appeared at the top of the screen:
WordPress database error:[Table ‘….wp_taxonomymeta’ doesn’t exist] SELECT taxonomy_id, meta_key, meta_value FROM wp_taxonomymeta WHERE taxonomy_id IN (1116) ORDER BY meta_id ASC
Then to put my site back into a reasonably healthy state, I deactivated and deleted the plugin Taxonomy Metadata; discovered that it did not delete the table taxonomymeta (which is helpful in this situation).
So, is it possible to either
- remove Unique Headers’s requirement for the table taxonomymeta?
- for Unique Headers (at installation time) to create an empty version of table taxonomymeta? (if not existing)
OR

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existI have experienced the same problem ( …..wp_taxonomymeta doesn’t exist) when adding/renaming a category.
I needed a temporary fix, so I installed an additional plugin Taxonomy Metadata.
This additional plugin has added a new empty table ( …..wp_taxonomymeta ) and thereby overcome the error caused by the table not existing.I look forward to a proper fix, when Ryan has time.
At a guess, anybody who knows enough sql to add an empty table can “temporary fix” the problem without installing an additional (and unwanted) plugin. This must be safer than altering a .php file.
no action needed
Thanks for the interest you are taking in resolving this. Is there any way that you can display a progress indicator in place of the white screen?
You are probably right to suspect database size as the problem.. However I did wait for 5 minutes before abandoning.
My website https://www.papamayhem.com – (backups DO WORK PROPERLY)
has a database size of 64mbMy website https://www.jetlagandmayhem.com – (backups do NOT WORK)
has a database size of 176mb (which I assume is not huge for an operational site).———————————————————
I have emailed the admin detail to Prashant. As a user of a shared hosting service, I dont think I am able to change htaccess OR php.ini execution limits.I dont want to ask the hosting service to increase execution time. That is not required for anything else that I do – whatever limit is “in force” protects me against runaway jobs – so I dont want to increase that.
I did change wp-config.php as suggested – but that did not help.
error_log does not contain anything for this time.
Thanks for help so far. Unfortunately, I still have “the white screen problem” and am unable to create backups with this plugin on one of my websites.
When I try to run “create new database backup” I just see a white screen (after a couple of seconds).
Using wordpress 4.2.3 and Version 3.2 of WP Database Backup (I deleted old version of the plugin and did a clean install)
